Hi Tomasz Firstly, thank you for all the well presented and informative content. I am just starting out my woodworking journey and am finding your videos super useful. As to the choice of table saw, you have convinced me that the Rage 5s is the way to go. However, without your 'tune-up' videos I'm sure I would have struggled and found the results less than acceptable. May you and your channel thrive, and many thanks again.

Many thanks Thomas for your clear teaching on how to and how not to use the table saw, I am hoping to take possession of a new Evolution Rage5-S tomorrow and in some ways quite nervous about using one for the first time even though I’m coming up to my 70th birthday.. never too late to learn I guess.😂

Very informative video. Thanks for sharing. Most of the things I already knew. Unfortunately my table saw has a rip fence which does not go all the way to the back end. I'll have to live with that. Thanks for the link to the video How to tune up a table saw. I missed that video when you released it. I'll watch it later this evening or at the weekend. I need to make some adjustments and with your guidance it'll work out better.

Thank you for watching. Hmm have a look if you can make a DIY version of the fence that locks at the front and back. I actually damaged mine and need to have a look if I can fix it or make something to replace it. Well tuned table saw will give you great cuts but also is much safer to use👍

Very informative video. I too use the Saxton TCT blades in my Evolution table saw. Actually I use the 40 and 80 tooth Saxton blades with my evolution table saw, evolution circular saw and my evolution sliding mitre saw. I personally find that Saxton bladed stay sharper for longer and they cut extremely well. Actually ever since buying Saxton blades I've not replaced them and I've done plenty of cuts 🤣🤣🤣 Anyway, keep making these excellent videos and I hope that your parents are enjoying seeing their grand children more 👍

Yes the Saxton blades are great. Soon I'll be making a blade update video😁 Oh yes my parents and my kids love the time they can spend together so it was for sure a good idea to move.

Hello Your videos on the evolution table saw are great thank you for you projects I do have one issue with the rip fence clamp it seems very hard to push into the lock position is this normal and can it be adjusted Look forward to your response Tony
@CasualDIY

Yes it can be adjusted. At the end of the fence there is a black plastic cap. Underneath is the mechanism you can try to adjust.

Good basic tutorial, however I think there was one important thing omitted. 12:28 and 15:25 - when the cut is finished, DO NOT touch the waste! Get the stock past the blade, then power down the saw. Once it's stopped, retrieve the pieces! Lots of accidents occur from reaching for (cut) parts with the blade spinning. or trying to flick them aside with the push stick.

Excellent video as always. Which feather boards do you use on the Evolution table saw? The non standard miter slots makes it a bit tricky to find one that fits. Thanks for any info.

Hi Thomas! First of all, thank you for your great videos!! I actually have the rage 5 too and I have some issues with the fence. Each time I use it, I have to use a square because when I lock it, it's not in a perfect 90° angle. Did you have the same problem? Would you have any advise to help me? Thank you :)
@CasualDIY
@CasualDIY Жыл бұрын
Hi, have you tried adjusting it with those two bolts on top of it? If so you can also try to adjust the back jaw, take the plastic cover from the back of the fence and there is a bolt there. Try to adjust that. Hope this helps

Hi Thomas, what are your thoughts on your table saw? I watched your unboxing 4 years ago and you still use the same table saw. Any issues with lifting mechanism, has it ever failed? How's the motor when cutting very thick wood, is it able to cut with ease? The reason for the questioning is Makita MLT100N also has a table saw with similar price where I live but I found out from KZfaq the lifting mechanism failed after a while cause of the use of aluminium part. But it has higher RPM and 260mm blades which can be very useful for cutting thick timber. Appreciate it if you can do a re-review video. Thanks.

I've done a re-review video but it's few years old now. However I'm planning a new Video on this saw in September. I've had no issues with it yet which I think its quite good. Nothing broke on its own ( I've dropped the fence and the back clip cracked slightly ) the only problem that I see currently is the price. I seem some crazy prices on the net which reduces the point of getting this saw as if you add bit more money you can get far better quality saw. If you can pick it up for no more than £350 then I would buy it. Anymore and I would consider buying something else. When I got my saw they you could pick them up for £230 on offer.
