Tai Chi Chuan is actually pronounced Tai Ji Quan. Tai Chi is a Taoist (Daoist) Chinese Martial Art style which is used for Self Defense but also meditation, balance, longevity, fitness, and sharpening the mind. I made this Tai Chi video hoping you will jump in, follow my movements, and practice Tai Ji Quan with me. This Tai Chi practice pulls moves from Chen Tai Chi, Yang Tai Chi, 24 Tai Chi, and Qigong. BREATHE DEEPLY AND SLOWLY! Feel the power in your legs! Move smoothly. Practice Tai Chi Chuan Daily! CLICK HERE 04:13 to SKIP the INTRO and START practicing TAI CHI.

This was amazing!!! For context, I've practiced martial arts most of my life; started with Karate and bridged into modern Western-type training, which doesn't cover the spiritual and philosophical aspects anymore. Recently, I've been studying Yin-Yang and its deeper meaning. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Thank you, Jake! Big supporter of your content!

Hi Jake, thanks for this video and all of your others. This was probably the best workout since I’ve recently stated TaiChi. Jake . . I trained in traditional Shotokan / Aikido / Ninpo tai-jutsu since I was 13, hustled 4 different p/t thru HS, rode my bicycle thru rain, sleet or snow to HS, home to prep dinners I NEVER got to eat, then off the the dojo, THEN work afterwards until 11 or midnight, thru rain, sleet or snow & got thru HS on 4-5 hours sleep per night. OK, summer was more hours worked & a bit more sleep, but I had to pay for class-tuition, uniforms, tests, weapons, food, dental, medical, contacts, guitar lessons, clothing and bike tires 3+x yearly. My HS prom night, I taught / assisted the tail-end of a 90 minute children's class (my warm up), did the 90 minute 6pm class, then rode off to 7-11 to work until 1am, turning down beer sales to my HS classmates. Long Island winter snowstorms were RARE: NOT to have a good 2-footer at least once, and I showed up for a 6pm adult class on my 10-speed during a 2-footer, ZERO adults showed in their cars & I got a "private lesson" with my sensei, then he took me out for dinner afterwards . . At 16 y/old. as a brown belt, I taught adult classes with several black belts as "students", when my sensei got caught up in traffic, picking up his classmates from the airport. So, I guess you can say, I've "been around the block", a few times. WHAT you did to this beginner VICTIM: June 14, 2017, (student is a real stretch, because UNLESS he is your brother-in-law & he'll be "back for more freebies", I'd be SHOCKED to see this guy return for more humiliation & exploitation from you), was NOTHING short of mocking his lack of stamina / fitness and self aggrandizing your innate athletic ability. Because: THAT is ALL you did, in this video. Which is KIND of like a sociopath. Gee, did you "set the stage" by suggesting he down a hefty breakfast, before you did a 40+ minute abdominal-crush routine on him?? Do YOU have any recollection of your first weeks or month of training?? Do you give ANY thought to a moderate warm-up, progressing into a feel-out-your-student's agility, before jumping into a stress test? I saw an EASY dozen opportunities for YOU to suggest / correct his breathing patterns, where YOU clearly exhaled during an exertion, then smirked & smiled as he held his breath during each kick, punch or torsional twist . . And that sociopathic SMIRK got even bigger, when he paused to hold down his vomit. And you showed complete INDIFFERENCE when he BEGAN to puke. Even a gay-boy-lover would hold his head while vomiting, after he'd mouth raped his throat. But YOU, Jake . . you made him VOMIT, then gloated & titled the video how "he wanted to fight . . I made him vomit". Class fucking act. You know what they say?? "Those that CAN fight, DO". I walked away from 3X 3-on-1 fights before I was 11, BEFORE I could start working to pay for Budo instruction, 6 nights weekly. "Those that CAN'T fight, teach" . . which is a REAL stretch in YOUR case, since IF you were a half-assed DECENT sifu, you'd have 1 or more successful schools, and a few hundred loyal students. But INSTEAD . . You flash your psychopath colors & post videos of how athletic you are, and crush any/all potential beginner-students, by monetizing their 1st day attempts. NOTE: I said you ARE athletic . . . but attributing any martial SKILL SETS to you would be a REAL fucking stretch. Master Ken's Private Parts offers BETTER instruction on YT, than you. I'd have wiped your snot off the mats, when I was 15 as a purple belt. Try speeding up your video feeds, it'll make you appear more . . ade

Starting tomorrow (I'm falling asleep), I'm going to try to do this daily, or at minimum three times a week. I'm plagued with disability and chronic illness and I'm determined to use the benefits of Tai chi to build my strength back and hopefully some day I can walk without mobility aids
@nikkiq5484
@nikkiq5484 3 жыл бұрын
You can do it - believe in yourself and try to be conscious of when you're identifying with the chronic illness or disability - every time we use language like "I'm plagued with", "I struggle every day with" and so on, it cements it in our reality and belief systems. It's the same as saying 'I can't...". Because when we say these things, we are attaching it to 'me' or 'I am'. It's also like when we say "I'm angry" versus the language of 'I am feeling the emotion of anger'. The first one tells us that WE are anger. The second implies it is a fleeting emotion that will pass, like every other emotion. I speak of this from personal experience after multiple spinal fusions and over a decade spent making my own reality worse by re-telling the story of suffering to myself every day, and telling myself the pain was too much to continue living. The mind is so powerful, whether it's to the constructive side of things or the destructive. I believe the key to getting through chronic illness is reconnection with the self, and MOVEMENT. Dance, shake, learn to flow with flowarts - it will change your life forever. Qi Gong and Tai Chi have already helped me immensely in less than two weeks of doing ti every day - I already feel there's less energy blockage and pain and my mood has been amazing. I also recommend Wim Hoff breathing in the morning and a meditation in the morning or before bed to help with sleep :)
