So glad to have another great set of recipes from you. Nappa cabbage is one of my favorites. Your recipes, explainations, demonstrations, and personality are always a joy to watch. Please always keep your content coming ☺️ And don't let the people bashing the microwave bother you. You are cooking like real people. They know what to do if they dont want to use a microwave. You are still great.

thank you so much for your warm feedback. I know some people are against microwave, but exactly as you say, if they don't like it, then they can just steam it.

I love nappa! Thank you for demonstrating so many ways to eat it. Gives me inspiration to try new ways instead of just the same old way I cook it. It's great raw in salads, too. Ponzu sauce is a good idea for a dressing. I never thought of that!

Where do you get your ingredients? Do you buy online? When I go home to visit family, the selections are very limited at Rewe, Marktkauf, and Edeka. Forget going to Netto. Those are the only choices we have where my parents live. I bought what was supposed to be Japanese rice at Rewe in November but when I cooked it it turned to mush. Rewe was selling red miso as white miso under the Miyako brand. I used to bring ingredients that I needed with me, but now travelling with carry-on only I can't do that anymore either.

Imagine cooking food in the microwave. Whyyyyy? It ruins the nutritional value of your food, and the texture is weird as well. I guess each to his own, though, but cooking that chicken would've taken only minutes on the hob. Came back to edit my comment. That sauce is perfection. I just made it and served it over some leftover roast chicken I had on-hand, and cooked up some Napa cabbage as well to go with it. What a delicious meal this is. Thank you for this video.

of course you can steam it in a steamer, if you don't want to use microwave. its just an easier alternative. glad to hear you at least like the sauce!!

Microwaves don't destroy nutrients any more than normal cooking. Though texture can be an issue. But this recipe makes it more accessible to people without a steamer.
