Tailscale for VS Code just got a major upgrade, bringing you the ability to explore, edit, and transfer the files on any of the nodes in your tailnet that you can reach through Tailscale SSH. In the tailscale extension, can I use keys instead of passwords to ssh to one of my tailscale devices? Great video by the way.

Tailscale SSH removes the need for you to manually manage keys or passwords to authenticate to your devices. You can read more here: tailscale.com/kb/1193/tailscale-ssh/

What is the advantage against the VSCode SSH extension? Genuine question.

pity this does not play with subnet routing meaning: I just set up on my opnsense tailscale and exposed the subnets hoping I really don't have to install on each machine tailscale but ok, still using tailscale I can reach my machines (as if they were local) and then use VScode on them (so without the tailscale extension for VSC)
