All of his entitlement, from parking in a non parking space, blocking an entrance, leaving his car in another parking lot for hours, then trying to sue for an outrageous amount citing all those statutes. But his shouting at the judge after the verdict was the most embarrassing part of all. He must be such a joy to deal with...

If I understand his reasoning. He has the right to park his car in the middle of an intersection because there's no signage telling him he can't park there.

At the beginning it said he had a handicap sign for the car - can't believe he pulled the "handicap card"! He looked like he was walking pretty good to me!(altho I know not everyone's handicap is visible) This guy will never take responsibility for his actions. I live in California cases like this you hear about quite often. There was a case about 15 years ago that a guy broke into a house broke his leg and ended up suing the homeowner and WON!!!! He won an injury case from the house he was breaking into, now thats crazy.

I do not understand why this is a 20 min episode (other than entertainment). The plaintiff was wrong and the defendant followed the law and towed the car accordingly. The plaintiff will never understand why he's wrong lol

Whenever there is a towing case, it is typically revealed that the plaintiffs weren't even allowed to be there, hence why their vehicles get justifiably towed. I don't know why they even bother 😑

He kept saying the defendant violated CA code. But the judge stated at end that he violated CA code by parking in a none designated parking spot. Glad I don't live near this guy. Good job on the defendant for being so calm.

Actual order of events...man is trying to find a dental office (probably lost and running late)...thinks he sees the office, pulls in and parks close to the building...hyper-focused and not thinking about lines, other cars, other businesses, etc...walks into the dentist office, is told he's in the wrong place (internal panic ensues), and is given directions that his office is just one block down...in his flustered state, he decides it would be easier and faster to just walk there (instead of trying to get back out into traffic and find his way around to it) and he makes a snap decision to do so. In his tunnel-vision state, he never thought twice about his parking until he returned and was SHOCKED to his core that he was towed. Already in a bad mood from having hours of dental work (and maybe waiting a while to be seen if he was late and had to be worked back in), now he has to figure out how to get his car back and pay for the tow...and thus the seed of revenge was planted in an angry and agitated mind. When he got home, finally, he started looking up every statue and code to see if he could sue, and when his eyes fell across the one code about signs at the entrance, it must have felt like he had just won the lottery. Poor guy. The concept of simply owning up to making a mistake in haste that unfortunately cost him some money probably never crossed his mind. So thankful the judge held up what was right and true.

The judge has finished ruling, but this guy is still shouting that "she "[the defendant]" didn't provide photographic evidence of blocking" (which she DID - that's exactly what the video is, clearly showing the car obstructing the entrance/exit). This guy is a real piece of work; not only does he want twice his tow fees for lack of signage at the lot entrance, but he also wants all of the county fines and assessments to come directly to him as well, making this my new nomination for "People's Court Most Trumped-Up Suit" - (surprised that the classic "pain and suffering" wasn't in there). Bottom line: California parking laws are insanely kind to motorists, but even Orange County doesn't allow you to park in an unmarked area of a privately owned lot. Vagts is the very definition of a "Ken", whose sense of entitlement knows no bounds.

So I was born and raised LA county California. Parking is a fu***** nightmare so they tow you the minute you park and walk over to another establishment. (It's happened to me!! I parked in a parking lot and walked across the street to a swap meet. BOOM my brand new car was gone.) The tow company has scout and they just stand in the parking lot with a clip board and wait. But I've learned from my mistake and that has never happened to me again!!! This was an entertaining case... and I was waiting for the judge to give it to him real good!!! This guy just falls into victim mode. 🙄 You were wrong. Just move on. But I bet he appealed at the Supreme Court. And doesn't feel bad for wasting anyone's time either...
