I agree with you. Don’t change anything til she gets running. Don’t complicate it. The engine is looking good. Glad it was ok

I'm a firm believer, that you do you and they can do themselves. It's your build, and the logic you share convences me. Besides, you've already proven that you can easily pull it out and redo the engine again (later of course), after you're satisfied. Thank you, for staying true to yourself!!!

when ever I take a head a part I put new valve stem seals just to make sure no oil comes out of the valve stems. there cheap and it's a seal

The stock hellcat heads are some of the best highest flowing heads from factory. There really isn't that much of a payoff unless you were doing a complete teardown and rebuild.

Awesome Build!! Totally agree with you , change as little as you can to get it running, sure makes trouble shooting much easier! This build is going great and is going to be so awesome!! Good luck keeping tires on that truck! I can almost smell the rubber now!

The only thing I'd do differently, is I'd really inspect the valve faces and valve seats. If the valves faces are smooth and correct width then they should be good to go. Make sure the seats are consistent widths and have at least 3 angles; 60/45/30. Blue the valve faces and make sure they are round and contact the seats evenly. After everything chks out, assemble heads and final chk for good vacuum at the intake & exhaust ports before reinstalling the heads. Make sure the rocker shafts are facing the correct way, because the oil holes HAVE to oil correctly. If done incorrectly you can destroy a lot of expensive parts. If you didn't disassemble them then they'll probably be OK, but do double chk to make sure the shafts are oriented correctly.

Very cool, this engine will run well! I'd at least pull the valves out, clean 'em up and lap them. Thanks for great video content!😎👍

Half an idea. When you get to the stock 5.7 can you do a video of what can be Changed engine wise in AlphaODB, can you change speed limiter etc

Yeah you could port it, but it's not a 4 barrel 440 casting from 1970 with off the shelf heads or stock ported heads that only needs, a battery, 3 wires and some starter fluid... KISS it.

I usually paint Aluminum. But that's only because I hate it when it fades and gets crusty. Do you (or anyone) know of some sort of clear coating I can put on aluminum to keep it looking good? I love ot polish my aluminum.

Leave the blower the stock aluminum color

@@sleepychallenger yep and about 500 to the wheels with the setup he'll have with the truck. You don't need 700+hp to the wheels because everyone else is. Unless you ignored your parents every time they gave you the " if everyone jumped off a bridge" lecture lol Otherwise he'd go LS turbo because thats cheap HP youd don't have to worry about breaking the bank every time you got hot for HP with the moon tune and blew it sky high
