Love the way you simplify things for people, perfect example of ' you can't take people where you've never been'. Taking your profits plays a very huge role in crypto currency because of high volatility. I'm just that person who loses out on that opportunity because I get pains when I have to reduce the number of my holdings😉. I pray that I don't get desperate in a down season. What a risky position I have taken after seeing 🔥🔥 during the pandemic.

Hi Tisa, Great content thanks. I think do a video and advise the people that the wording used is not right. Profits are dividends received which you collect if you elect to not reinvest. What I think you are talking about here "the green number" are not profits those are capital gains. Just thought I should add my 2 cents worth. Thanks.

@@chatwithtisa There are two ways it is taxed though. 1 - if you've kept the shares for more than three years, they profits will be taxed as capital gains 2 - if you've had it for less than that, it is considered trading (or professional trade income) - trade in this case being seen as "work" or side line income if you will.

Thank you for another AHA moment vid Tisa. But I guess now one can use some instruments to finance the overall portfolio, like when your had 100% growth on your EC10 and you did not sell then you sold when it was a bit lower than that. I was watching another stock investor's video and he was asked when does he sell his shares and he said when they reach 100% growth he sells off half his position and find another ETF to invest in and when that one he sold half from dips, he then evaluates it and see if he can get back in. Buying low and selling high. What do you think of this. Obviously you don't do it with all your portfolio but certain instruments like the EC10 for example but your golden girl you keep adding to it.😁❤🇿🇦

Firstly thank you Neo for this level of engagement 🤗✨ I think once one studies their portfolio they get a sense of how their stocks ‘behave’ it took time for me to gather up the courage to sell especially when there are high hopes and hypes on a particular stock, so I did my own analysis, I now know which investments on my portfolio I can sell off using that ‘trader’ strategy i.e EC10 and 1Invest Rhodium etc. The golden girl and many others I’ll hold on to them 😁

Hey mogirl thanx for everything I'm still learning haven't started investing Mmmmmm okay but now how is this different to receiving a dividend or dividends... When receiving dividends from a company for shares do your shares get omitted or they remain the same but you still can get capital and should you want to sell your profits do they go directly to your bank account or you have to request on easy equities for a transfer🤗thank you in advance
@chatwithtisa
@chatwithtisa 2 жыл бұрын
Hey Thabitha😇 when you receive dividends your shares and profits don’t get affected. When you sell the amount will be on your EasyEquities balance and you’d have to withdraw it to your bank account. I’m proud of you for doing your research and learning 😇✨
