Hi ❤ I saw your video from "think before you sleep" and I just wanted to drop by and say A) you're not ugly and there are women like myself who find you quite attractive (my husband looks similar to you) and B) you're not alone in how you feel. After my best friend (and only friend) of 10 years committed suicide 3 years ago, I've struggled BAD with making new friends or interacting with people in general. And I say this as a happily married woman. There are days where the loneliness is deafening. It hasn't helped that I was forced to quit my job for our daughter who needed the extra care, secluding me even more. I'm pregnant again and while I'm excited to have another baby and love my family with every bit of my soul, I feel like, at 30, my life has just passed me by. My dreams of getting my masters in forensic social work have been put on hold for 4 years now, I haven't gotten to travel the world like I'd dreamed of doing, or done the things I'd set myself up to do or achieve. Hell, I didn't even get to enjoy the first months with my daughter since she was rushed to a different hospital, so I have yet to even experience the "new mom" feeling of holding your newborn for the first time. I feel stuck. Watching everyone else pass by me as I'm just trying to pull myself out of quicksand. You're not alone. Even those of us who are married, or have kids, or go out with friends feel stuck. Feel like we're drowning or gasping for air in a smoke filled room. Maybe it's a fear I have of getting close to people only to see them in a casket the next day, but I have struggled to bond with anyone except my husband and daughter and I feel myself slowing dying a little day by day. I know people will either pass this by or comment hateful things I'll never actually read, but you're not alone in this, you matter, and it's always worth it to keep trying. Sorry, this turned into venting. The idea that no one may read this makes it easier to vent a bit with no one else to talk to about any of this kind of stuff. Thank you for your videos. They really do make Mr and others feel less crazy and less alone in this.

Thanks for sharing the guitar story. Great illustration of different upbringings. Parents and adults perhaps think they're boosting a kid's confidence by praising their "talent" but it only teaches kids that what they have is inherent and they are above practicing. That's why they say that hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. You get older and you realize you got left behind because you didn't develop the work and discipline to keep improving . Every single kid I played guitar better than now surpasses me many times over.

Thanks for sharing about your guitar playing. It's so easy to fall into Gear Acquisition Syndrome--I struggle with that even after 30 years of playing guitar. It's so easy because, well, it's easy. Anything we can buy is easy, and gives us a temporary hit of dopamine and pleasure. Anything we have to earn, like the skill of becoming a better guitar player, is harder because it cannot just be bought. I'm trying to teach myself more and more (at the age of 46) to focus on chasing the deeper satisfaction of doing the hard things to give myself a lasting sense of accomplishment. Props to you for being so vulnerable on camera. That in itself is a difficult thing that will bring you deeper and more satisfying returns.

I envy you dude. You seem to be on the up and up and motivated to change and better yourself. I can't even do half of that because I'm disabled unmotivated and depressed and when I get a bit of motivation to get on a healthy track and get out of my comfort zone it all goes well until one little thing doesn't and it all resets to zero and I shut down for a few months.

I appreciate how your channel also provides a safespace. Cause whether you know it or no, by making these videos your giving important insights to other people so they can benefit. I can relate to all the struggle and I've always come to terms that only millenials understand other millenial problems. Breaking with your routine is an absolute key move that you won't be taught as a kid, but will help you wherever you go from that moment on you're leaving school's hallway. Also discipline issues in music is the same with me only that my band's musicla genius comes to be the bassist lol. I can lay down one of my struggles which is my lack of patience or attention span and trying to accomplish a bunch of things at once when starting by one actually is half the bet already. Also, a social media detox can be useful. cause the amount of social pressure during the age of everyone comparing each other's life is exhausting. Also my mom has diabetes as well. This is creepy lol .. but still \m/

Hey man just wanted to share my thoughts as well. Currently dealing with back pain as well since Jan from an injury. I’ve been more motivated since September to work out. I’m a scrawny guy and was able to gain about 10 pounds so I’m happy for that. I still have back pain but atleast when I’m at the gym it goes a way for a bit. Not so bad but to an extent that it bothers me throughout the day but I’ve gotten more use to it. Also miss my ex we haven’t seen each other for a month already. It’s only moments in the day where I’m feeling depressed but keep atleast going to the gym, eat, clean the house and take care of my cats. I’ll just leave it at that but thanks for sharing how you been.

Hello, I saw your video in my recommendations and I clicked out of curiousity. I saw your video about being 27 and never having a girlfriend. I then saw your video about being 29 and never having a girlfriend. The last time I had a girlfriend was when I was 22. I am now 25 nearly 26 and I have not had a girlfriend since then. You do not have a girlfriend for two reasons: because you did not settle or you are not ready. I fall in the not settling category and potentially not ready. Truthfully, we are rarely ever ready. I could have probably had a girlfriend by now. However, my first relationship enriched me so much that I want the same thing in the next one. I literally learned another language and developed myself. How could I not desire such a thing again? It seems that your hobbies are about gaming and guitaring. Seek those communties. Connect with people in that environment. Become damn ******* good at it. Develop yourself some more. Suffer. We are here to suffer. Suffer in the sense of progression. It hurts. It is meant to hurt. Become uncomfortable. Forget about shelving yourself. Get out there and become more professional. Network with people in these activities. You have friends who you make videos with. Aim to make these videos look amazing. Lighting, thumbnails, production value etc. Seek to get a better camera and develop these videos to a professional level. Try going to the gym and powerlifting. Gain some strength and feel better about yourself. Challenge yourself. I have given you several targets and goals to aim for, it is up to you now to achieve them. When you have finished all this you will have either gotten a girlfriend or not. Either way, you have done something and of that you can be proud :) Now if you excuse this is also a message to myself and I now have to achieve my goals

He should hit the gym 2h * 5 times a week, progressive overload, build muscles. Deadlift, benchpress, squats, bicepcurls and dips. Do 3 sets 8 reps, 5 min rest between. Do that for 6 months and his life will change drastically. Walking in some park and throwing some frisbees is just coping. I would say, put an halt doing videos at all, continue to work for uber, hit the gym, sleep, eat protein 2g protein per kg bodyweight. The solutions to the problems is not complicated. Backpain = sitting still. Unttractive? = hit the gym, cut bodyweight, groom. All these endless discussions, endless problems, endless whining. I sound harsh, but reality is harsh. People must stop giving cope answers. this guy must have a wake up call. He do not need a social life, he need to fix himself for god sake.

One day i looked in the mirror and i was disgusted, i was so disgusted that i made a pact with myself: either you change or cut your whrist. In a span of a year i got rid of my obesity and changed attitute towards life and people. I have problems myself like everyone, but i don't feel that bottomless hole anymore. I noticed these back issues typically start around when you turn 30, at least that was the case for me. Turns out, just a month of hitting the gym was the solution.
