And Nigel less us not forget is part of the real evil, banks and hedge fund managers. I agree they are globalists but Starmer is the only one who did not at one point represent the real evil in the world. Nigel and Rishi are literally a product which as no fan of Starmer makes me feel he is the lesser of 3 evils. I only have to worry about Rishi as Nigel is nothing more than a great disrupter (we need these even if I disagree with his views) although I feel he as a narcissist will become a Tory after the election, with an eye on the leadership and in a 3 way fight with Braverman and Mordaunt. Mordaunt will probably win as the centrists probably have slightly more power than the right in the Conservative party but think the gap is narrowing.

Starmer is still that same guy who backed Corbyn. A leopard never changes it's spots and all that . Starmer is ruthless, he ditched Corbyn as it was the only chance he had of being elected. Raynor knows that and has stood by him which wouldn't have been the case if Starmer was truly 'changed'

Reform and Farage lied to you about that. Torys didn't increase immigration the way Labour did. We have a SERIOUS job crisis right now in the care sector due to the pandemic and brexit and most of those immigrants are nurses etc or students. On temp visas. There were errors but this was fixed by Braverman. Labour's immigration is designed to REPLACE YOU. You're looking at the effects of Labour's immigration (those children now in their adulthood etc) and mistaking it for "tory immigration". It's not. Tory immigration other than student towns, is a few nurses here and there: it's temporary and numbers are going down now. Labour's immigration is ETHNIC REPLACEMENT immigration - and thanks to Farage and Reform that's what we're getting now. Most of the country will never touch Reform and I think you know that. To win as someone on the right you have to appeal to the centre and that is something Reform will never do.

@Norcha8 In 2009, net migration was 196,000. Jan 2010, David Cameron said net migration of over 200,000 was too much and promised to reduce net migration to "tens of thousands. @@britainbetterthanyou claiming that immigration is designed to replace the ethnic majority is irrational and conspiratorial. What logical rational reason would a government intend to do this? if immigrants are so scummy, backwards and culturally different like most reformers claim, then why would a government intentionally decide to do this? when you ask this question you are left with no option to come up with some cinematic 1 dimensional villainous conspiracy.

Please do as it will only destroy the Tories and boost Labour. People say Reform speak for the people but it is not true and can be proven by the fact that they have 17% of the vote, so they factually only speak for a small proportion of the country. I agree it's grown and will increase to maybe 20% when swathes of Tories vote reform. So sure no problem that they speak for you but they speak to the minority. I am a very left wing on social issues but quite right wing on economic issues (support the free market growth and the tax revenues it can create, to aid my insane leftist social views) so maybe a left centrist, social democrat who is disillusioned, but it's the same when people say 'all my friends vote Labour' it's rubbish and people become confused by the very real fact that their friends are likely to have similar views and beliefs, precisely why they are friends. We see it all the time with the utter distain for people with different ideas, Leftists 'I could never be friends with them racist right wingers', right wingers 'I can't stand them snowflake leftits'. I will vote Labour with a heavy heart as no real fan, and am left of centre, have friends who vote Tory, Lib Dem, Green and even a couple who will vote reform. They just see things differently, spread your wings, go and speak calmly to those who disagree. We are all more than ever getting stuck in our divisive echo chambers, that goes for the right and left. History has proven time and time again the centre is what is always best for a country. Look at where the far right (Nazis) and far left (communism) got them countries. The centre is boring as talks real issues over fake moral panics. The right are obsessed with migration and the left about offence and everything being offensive. I care about our schools, hospitals, water, inflation, wage stagnation. You know them things that actually effect people on a day to day basis.

@@leecourtney1225 One issue with the "can't be friends with" line... A recent study has shown that left leaning individuals are x3 times more likely to engage in aggressive and interolant behaviour towards someone with differing political viewpoints, than the right. Indicating that the right are actually more tolerant towards the rest of the political spectrum than the left in general. Food for thought.

There are two outcomes I personally want to see at this election. 1/ Conservative party gets Zero seats. 2/ The combined vote tally of Labour, Conservatives, & Lib Dems, is a low % of the overall turnout, through the electorate voting for any other candidate.

Yes indeed, Labour already made soundings that property revaluation will happen. Reeves already hinted about a wealth tax so the council tax uplift is definitely coming. I would be so bold to say the council tax hikes will be around tripled. It will hurt all homeowners but even worse for renters since landlords will pass on the uplift. Potential for a collapse of the property market is a possibility and the implications are profound.

It’s pure greed. Letting countless free loaders free load and scrounger scrounge whilst hammering the hardworking elements of the population. If ANY HOMEOWNER votes Labour they WILL regret and every single month when the council tax is sucked out of their bank account.

Peter Hitchens, from a newspaper which labels anyone of the opinion that the Tories have failed the country and may vote for someone else that isn't them or Labour as 'Far Right''. Across the EU, as recent days have shown, people are sick and tired of their genuine concerns about the direction of travel not being listened to let alone heard.

I think council tax could double. The choice is simple. Either let the NHS crumble away and welfare to the extent the poor will return to victorian poverty or tax property. However a massive increase in property tax will destroy Labours middle class establishment support... it has long abandoned the old core vote of low paid employees.

Hitchens is right to point out that Starmer will continue the Blairite agenda, but the thing he is missing is that we already have a Blairite government as the Tories accepted the Blairism when Michael Howard took over. Okay, they are going at a slower pace - but they are still pushing along with it.

Peter Hitchens is correct in saying the principle reason for the election is not to merely punish the Tories, but that doesn´t mean I shouldn´t vote for the party I most agree with, which is the Reform Party. This may well punish the Tories, not stop Labour from winning, but why should I vote for anything I don´t like - as Mr. Hitchens has been saying for years.
