The media has said that Harry got a standing ovation. It was a STANDING concert...there WERE no chairs. The speech was virtually identical to every other Harry speech..thank the health worker, compassion, give vaccines to poor countries, kindness, thanks to the Health workers.

I have loved Line of Duty and was looking forward to the new Series (obviously not watching now). It seems all my favourite shows both British and American have all gone woke and are trying to appeal to all the minority groups in every show. Maybe they should look at what is happening to the Oscars and stop the preaching. I believe in live and let live and not having certain special interest groups push their agendas on people who just want entertaining.

I can predict the bad person, it's the old ignorant, phobe that hates. Whether English or American so predictable. 5min, where is remote. Go to old movie, or horse racing movie, or a Sherlock Holmes movie. Or history of any English castle, Americans love. The woke better wake up after Oscar's. Go woke go broke,, Now unconscious snow white at Disneyland ride can't be kissed to wake her, save her life, says the woke....didn't give permission. Could have been resuscitation. So whether brit Americans can get some via Amazon Prime

I have forgotten to put the blasted mask on a couple of times but quickly remembered, but yesterday both Mrs Sid and me both forgot to put our masks on in one shop and only realised after we left. It does happen albeit rarely.

It appears that fear over rides sanity and logic in many peoples heads. I see people on quiet little sleepy streets near to where I live, with nobody else about, wearing a face mask. In the fresh air, with a mask strapped to their faces, with not a single soul in sight!

Shock to the system the new line up : I got so used to Dawn and Kevin Face masks for school children would be my nomination . My fifteen year old son has to eat his school lunch outside in this weather ( we live in Penrith ,Cumbria : the real North of England) I've emailed the school but had poor or no response . Why are children being abused in the name of Covid safety ? I suppose I could always contact the NSPCC !!!!

Nice change of personnel this week. The title London Fire Brigade is still current, they even have a modern LFB logo sign written on their appliances. Some people call the fire brigade Trumpton, what would Americans think of that? Outside London the modern name is Fire and Rescue Service. Feuerwehr in Germany and Sapeurs- Pompiers in France, Americans talk about ladder companies and battalions that sounds strange to us.
