Tamatar Dhaniya Shorba Recipe:
Oil - 1 tbsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Bay Leaves - 2 nos
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Cloves - 2 nos
Cardamom - 2 nos
Coriander Seeds (Crushed) - 1 ½ tbsp
Ginger (julienne) - 1 inch
Garlic (crushed) - 4 nos
Tomato (roughly chopped) - 3 nos
Coriander Powder - ½ tsp
Red Chilli Powder - ¼ tsp
Cumin Powder - ¼ tsp
Salt - 1 ½ tsp
Black Pepper Powder - ¼ tsp
Coriander Stems (roughly chopped) - 5 Stems
Water - 2 Cups
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
For Garnish:
Tomato (finely chopped) - 1 tbsp
Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp
Cooking Instructions:
1. In a pot, heat the oil and add the whole spices. Saute for a minute, until aromatic.
2. Add the ginger and garlic. Saute further for a minute.
3. Add the tomatoes and coriander stems.
4. Saute for 3 minutes until the tomato softens.
5. Add the powdered spices and salt.
6. Add 2 cups of water and simmer for 10 mins.
7. Mash the tomatoes well and strain the soup.
8. Serve with chopped tomatoes and coriander leaves.
