This is my new favorite instant ramen hack! Creamy, spicy, and full of flavor. This Japanese inspired ramen recipe, won’t require long cook times nor complicated steps. All you need are simple pantry ingredients, no fresh ramen noodles needed 🙂
What is Tantanmen?
Tantanmen or Tan tan ramen is a Japanese twist on the classic Sichuan dish dan dan noodles. It features ramen noodles in a broth that’s both creamy and spicy.
The traditional ingredients are sesame paste, which gives it a nutty richness, and soy milk, which creates a smooth and creamy texture. Chili oil brings the heat, while the broth base is often chicken or pork. For simplicity, we will only be using chili bean sauce.
