I have been pulled over many times because I wear a nascar helmet and fire suit when I drive since I have a seizure disorder and have smashed into tons of cars and guardrails over the years. For sure dirty play and i don't think hits are necessary anymore. Players get concussions and it can be bad it needs to stop.

All hits must stop. It does not matter if its a clean hit concussions can be detrimental to players health.

It was interference, not a blind-side hit. He shouldn't have hit him, but it was not a dirty hit. He was not given a match penalty which is a deliberate attempt to injure.

Agree with the "real time" speed of hockey & sometimes things go wrong. Connally's hit wasn't malicious. As a veteran he should've pulled up. He did go into Kero with his shoulder, but it happened fast & did he know where the puck WAS & not where he THOUGHT it was? Connally isn't at all like Reaves!! No one is!! He's the dirtiest in the NHL.

This was interference. In the moment,you're worried about your teammate. If it was something where Kero was on all fours,shaking it off,ok,but he wasn't moving and having difficulty breathing. Your priority becomes getting the trainer and doctor onto the ice to help your teammate- and you can't do that in the middle of a brawl. The last thing you wanna do in a situation like this is to brawl, literally,on top of your injured player. With regard to Connolly,if it was something where he has a history of hits like that,and factoring in the rivalry,I'm sure he'll have to answer for it in the next matchup between these two teams. It makes no sense to fight someone who just got thrown out

Than stayed there the entire time Kero was being packaged to get off of the ice, and than went to him as he was being stretchered off the ice to speak to him. He was trying to pass the puck to him, along the glass and he missed the pass but Kero should have his head up and he didn’t. Now Brett hit him too early and that’s a penalty as it’s called.

I also don't think it was dirty in the sense of what a dirty hit truly means. It was a hit that shouldn't have happened because Kero didn't have the puck, so in that sense it was wrong, but in no way was it intentional as in trying to hurt him, head hunt, or intent to injure. He didn't even hit his head but the way Kero hit the ice is what did the damage. You can see in the replay that Connelly slowed down and turned sideways to minimalize the hit.
