Jason, why don't you have any links to your other KZfaq channel called "Jason and Gayoung"? I happened to find the link in one post in your community tab on this channel. Other than that, you don't have any links to that channel in the description box of your videos, your comments, or in the links on your KZfaq channel homepage. Why is that?

I don't really understand your concern here. There is no reason. I'm not sure why that is a big deal? Remember, everything doesn't have a reason behind it. That is one thing I find odd about the internet. People sometimes think there is an ulterior motive always, but in most cases, there isn't. I'm glad you found our spiritual travel channel.

@@JasonGregoryAuthor Ok. I was just wondering. I think it's a great spiritual travel channel, and I think your fans here on this channel that don't know about it would like it if they did. And similarly for that channel, there are no links back to here and some who find it won't know about this channel and would like it if they did. There used to be a separate tab on KZfaq channels labeled as Channels, that solely featured other channels associated with it. But KZfaq removed that feature. I have noticed that ever since they did that many KZfaq channels don't have any links or connections to other associated channels, and it's much harder to find those kinds of things now. Just mentioning. Anyway, please keep up the amazing work. Take care. Peace.

Sooo helpful---I realize I've been virtue signalling with my 'vegetarianism' and 'activism'

Thats a good insight! Perhaps that comment was also done subconsciously as 'spiritual' virtue signalling tho :) (I dont mean that in any disrespectful/critical way, just something perhaps interesting to think about!😃)

Yes see the models in nature and the cosmos. Bring to mind the quote, "And still, after all this time, the Sun has never said to the Earth,‘You owe me.’ Look what happens with love like that. It lights up the sky.”

Could you share your thoughts about parenting in this day and age and following the Tao? Thank you

Another traditional ritual, practised by some indigenous peoples, but which we don't have in our Western societies, is the initiation ritual which males experience in order to leave The Mother aspect in order to stand as adult males. The lack of this ritual is one reason why so many adult men in the West appear to be rudderless when it comes to maturation. They lack an example of adult manhood to emulate, and they remain attached to The Mother. Perhaps such a ritual is one example of how the Tao is followed in some societies.

Your thoughts on carnivore diet?
@dth92301
@dth92301 4 ай бұрын
Everything in moderation but always take into consideration what your body needs. Following a diet that doesn't fit your body type and needs doesn't follow the way of nature.
@JorisWeima
@JorisWeima 4 ай бұрын
Yep, let your bodily signals guide what to eat in every moment! All diets are 'eating with the mind', while eating should be done with the bodily signals. Your DNA has a 100000 IQ, your mind and scientists minds only 100-200!

Could activism be in someone’s ‘Lee’ energy to create change? Doesn’t always have to be against the natural flow of things? Maybe it is the natural flow of energy ❤
@JasonGregoryAuthor
@JasonGregoryAuthor 4 ай бұрын
No, it would not be in anyone's li because li is only discovered when following the path of non-interference, wu-wei. Hence, Taoism is amoral, just like nature. Li is what is natural in you, not determined by anything happening in the world. Activists hate hearing these Taoist truths because it exposes their own agenda for the world. Taoism is essentially about going beyond your personal agenda and allowing the world to be.

@@JasonGregoryAuthor thank you so much for your response and apologies for my spelling. I really struggle with this teaching but feel very grateful for your podcasts. So how do I address/allow injustice, cruelty and discriminatory practices in the micro to then create systems in the macro that support these harmful and non peaceful practices in the bigger world we live. So in relation to culture, acceptance of culture or some accountability in our culture? Please let me know if this is not the forum for this discussion ❤️🙏

I actually answered your question in the previous comment, my friend. This is probably not the right forum, considering Eastern spirituality has nothing to do with activism. This obsession with activism is what destroyed Buddhism in America. Buddhists in Asia who follow the teachings and tradition are appalled at how Westerners warp Buddhism to suit their activism based on their own biased political views. Westerners committing such cultural and spiritual appropriation should be ashamed of themselves. Again, you need to ask yourself why you are right and anyone who doesn't accept your view of activism is wrong. I am saying this last message to you as a friend because I feel that you are interested in the deeper teachings but are a victim of this current trend to have an opinion on everything which is actually based upon one political leaning. And that last message is that you can't progress on the spiritual path if you are vexed by such this and that subjective perceptions. That is just a fact. So now you have to consider what is most important in this life. There is no ideal scenario where you save the world based on your view of how life should be. There has always and will always be problems in the world. But can you accept that, or does your ego feel uncomfortable with that truth? If you can, then you can realize and absorb yourself in something that only a rare few beings embody, a complete absorption in the Ultimate. We both know what your true destiny is. Why not pour your energy into your true being? That is what is true.
