What I find to be the craziest about Tarrare is the fact that he ate that eel. Eel blood is extremely deadly (when raw, the poison is nullified when cooked) and causes your heart to stop even from very small amounts, and yet somehow he ate an entire raw eel and was fine.

There was a similar man, known as Charles Donery/Donerz who was (supposedly) a Pole ser:ing in Prussian army. The notable differences were that Donery started exhabiting symptoms at 13, was considered quite handsome, looked absolutely normal and was sweating mostly around the time of his sleep. Other than that he was absolutely normal, liked to smoke tobacco and it seemed that he suffered much less than Tararre, because none of the accounts of him seem to indicate he was in particular distress due to his condition Oh and he also fought in the war of the first coalition, just at the Prussian side

This is an actual condition. I saw a video a few months ago of a little girl with the same problem. She's a normal little girl, the problem is the aching hunger that never goes away ni matter how much she eats. She'd sneak out of the house at night when everyone is asleep to dig through trash. It's really sad. Her family is so distraught for her.
