My Virgin Kitchen is a KZfaq cooking channel I created when I wanted to teach myself how to cook and create a video diary of the journey / mrbarrylewis . I have never had a professional lesson & am just your every day chap attempting recipes to inspire you guys to try too. Most uploads are how to recipe cooking videos, but some fun is had too on Sunday Funday when anything goes, including giant foods, mini foods, taste testing foods sent from around the World, food gadgets and many more. It' a tipical thing from Piemonte, the same region where nutella was born, where they grow the best hazelnut in Italy, and maybe the world. This chocolate-hazelnut products, from gianduja to nutella, were born because cocoa was Too costly, so they began mixing it with hazelnut cream... I love it!

+My Virgin Kitchen Correct pronunciation for this with english pronunciation should be "Geeaendooya" It's chocolate made with Hazelnuts and Cocoa. Best thing ever.

As I saw the notification i was happy, and I was sure of 2 things: 1) you'll be pleased, with a lot of "my mind is telling me no" moments 2) pronunciation will be quite messed up. I was not disappointed. Good job Barry! keep up the good work, hope you'll try more in the future, there are lots and lots of things you are missing ;)

This video was really fun. :'D I am italian, but are italian snacks really so good? I'm glad you liked them but after all, is always junk food :v Real italian treats are other stuff. Now I want to say something to all the egocentric Italians that commented here: Sempre a sputare veleno agli stranieri eh? Mi pare logico che abbia queste reazioni dato che probabilmente non ha mai mangiato queste cose in vita sua. Ogni straniero ha le sue abitudini e lui stesso dice di non sapere quasi nulla sulla cultura italiana. Cosa pretendete allora? Ho letto di gente che si lamentava in inglese sulla pronuncia italiana delle parole ma che di grammatica inglese non ci azzeccava manco un verbo. Ho sentito gente lamentarsi degli stereotipi che ha il mondo di noi, ma non mi pare che siamo tanto diversi. Gli islamici sono tutti dell'isis, gli americani sono tutti obesi o repper e i brasiliani sono tutti vecchi pervertiti o mignotte, poi però se gli italiani sono solo pizza, spaghetti e mandolino è sbagliato e questo stranieri non capiscono un cazzo. Ma davvero? Qualcuno ha la più pallida idea di come si usano le bacchette? io no, e quando sono andata la prima volta in un ristorante cinese mi sono fatta portare coltello e forchetta ma mica il cameriere è venuto ad insultarmi anzi, abbiamo pure riso insieme. Ma da qui all'insultare ce ne vuole... Perché dobbiamo sempre farci riconoscere? Ok, ha detto origàno invece di orìgano e non è stato proprio il momento più bello della mia vita, ma non mi pare che quando voi diciate tumbrl o una qualsiasi frase più difficile di "My name is" siate dei maestri della pronuncia. Quindi evitate e siate un po' più tolleranti e comprensivi. Gli italiani peccano di superbia e credo che di questo se ne siano accorti gli stranieri...

+L'ombra di PincoPallino hai ragione, non ha senso criticare un video con l'unico scopo di divertire. Inoltre è interessante vedere il nostro Paese con gli occhi di uno straniero. Le stesse cose che ha fatto lui le avremmo fatte anche noi mangiando cibi di un altro paese che non conosciamo. Purtroppo è pieno di gente che si crede migliore degli altri.

Poverini gli stranieri, loro mica ci sfottono per come parliamo la loro lingua, assolutamente, infatti costui non ha ASSOLUTAMENTE sfottuto la parlata italiana più di una volta. Hai proprio ragione, siamo talmente superbi noi italiani, dovremmo imparare l'umiltà proprio dagli inglesi, il popolo più semplice e modesto del pianeta, o magari dagli umilissimi americani, o dai modestissimi francesi! Forse se ci permettiamo di sfottere la loro pronuncia è perché anche loro non sono clementi quando parliamo la loro lingua (vedi le parti in cui parodiava l'accento degli italiani che parlano inglese). Forse se facciamo stereotipi sugli altri è perché anche gli altri sono particolarmente impietosi con noi, che siamo visti ovunque come mafiosi pervertiti mangiapasta; così come un'islamico si offende se gli dici che è un terrorista e un tedesco se la prende se gli dai del nazista, se permetti, anche un italiano si altera se gli dai del mafioso. Io so come si usano le bacchette; l'ho imparato perché mi sembrava irrispettoso mangiare il cibo asiatico con posate occidentali, e dal momento che loro si adattano ad usare il coperto occidentale da noi mi sembrava carino fare lo stesso da loro e non fare la figura del becero italiano che non mangia nulla se non ci sono forchetta e coltello. Forse dovresti imparare anche tu, non trovi? Io ho visto questo video per quello che è: un video in cui un inglese assaggia degli snacks italiani e li apprezza, ficcando qua e là lo stereotipo dell'italiano SuperMario, giusto per far capire che si trattava di roba italiana. Tutti ci scambiamo battutine e frecciatine stereotipate, noi sfottiamo i tedeschi, i tedeschi sfottono i francesi, i francesi gli inglesi, gli inglesi gli americani e gli americani sfottono noi. Quindi gli italiani cattivi e superbi contro gli umili e docili stranieri lasciali a casa, e impara ad osservare il mondo dal punto di vista di tutti i popoli, prendendoli per quello che sono: esseri umani che si riconoscono in una cultura particolare e trovano bizzarre le altre. P. S. Sputare veleno sugli stranieri? Se c'è una cosa in cui non ci batte nessuno, cara innocente figlia dell'estate, è proprio lo sputare veleno su noi stessi e osannare gli stranieri come perfezione assoluta. Tu ne sei l'esempio vivente. ;)

You should try "Pan Di Stelle" (translation -> "bread of stars"), which are round-shaped cocoa biscuits with vanilla garnishment. People usually eat those when they're having breakfast (better with hot milk). You should also try "Nutella B-Ready". I don't know if they're sold in Britain.

+BambooBambi Molte parole inglesi che sono molto simili al corrispondente italiano hanno l'accento su un'altra vocale, quindi viene facile confondersi nel mezzo di un discorso. Per esempio, "CIty -> citTA", "COFfee -> cafFÈ"

sì ma il problema dovrebber essere anche dall'italiano all'inglese ma non mi pare di sentire spesso "citì" o "coffì" et similia. cmq poteva impegnarsi un minimo con la pronuncia

American here just came back from Italy. If I didn't overpack, I would have stocked up on the following: 1. Piu Gusto Chips (the tomato flavored ones)- I'm not a chip person for the most part but those were the best tasting chips I've ever had. They seem to make the Piu Gosto Chips in large bags but not the tomato ones. All seemed to be in small bags for 1 Euro each 2. Fiesta Caffe things (not sure how to describe them lol). When I was in Florence I used Airbnb and the woman left a bunch of little treats. The Fiesta Caffe things were amazing. Like a mix of tiramisu and coffee.

hello!! i usually deep cantuccini into the "vin santo", in english "holy wine"; it is a kind of sweet wine and it is great with these biscuits. i'm from Padua (North East Italy), and here we usually eat them during Christmas time!

you usually dip cantuccini in wine, it's called Vin Santo. You can use zibibbo or marsala, is a very sweet wine.

Thekiller monkey I know, I've been living in Italia and part of my family is from Rome, so I tried them there. In Spain it's almost impossible to find this delicius treat. My friends and cousins bring them to me when they come to visit me to Madrid :)
