I had the Arsenal-Man City bingo card out and was ticking them off: McCabe pushes Hemp (yes), Hemp and Kelly switch wings (yes, immediately), then McCabe pushes Kelly (yes), they both push back (yes, yes), Katie gets a yellow card (surprisingly, no), Russo misses an easy chance (yes), Lotte passes to the opposition (yes), Keating makes a mistake (yes but she got away with it - it was over the line), etc. Try it, it's fun. Can play something very similar next time England play the Republic of Ireland too, and with added Ruesha. Remember that goal line technology and VAR are two different things. The former is 100% necessary in women's football, the latter is garbage and needs to go from men's football too. I saw Caitlin saying that 'we played well', no Catilin, scoring 5 goals away against Lyon was playing well, this season you have not played well apart from the Chelsea match, every other game has been like one of those nightmares where you are in a fist fight but you just can't land a punch. Something needs to change, and it's not 'sack the manager', Jonas is a great manager IMO. But they need to have a sit down and sort it out somehow.

I suspect that was a goal and agree VAR is needed. Both that goal and the elbowing penalty (which wasn't intentional) are just things that refs miss because there are 22 players on the pitch. I watched another video of McCabe, after the initial hit before the push, when she was just deliberately getting in Hemp's way. I don't mind some aggressive play (I'm a hockey fan, first and foremost) but that's just disrespectful.

Everyone loves to comment that the ball did, or didn't, go over the line, but the reality is that there's no footage that shows that the entire ball crossed the line. It's impossible to tell on the only angle we have. Unlike the World Cup goal, where VAR was able to show that it was the entire ball (sorry to bring it up xD )

I dont know the rules of American Football and have never watched it before, although my girlfriend has gotten into it this year so The Superbowl was on in our house. Time difference was too much though so passed out haha

Chiefs fan here, of course I watched the Super Bowl. lol It does appear that Travis and Taylor care for each other, he's pretty down to earth and very giving as she is and they also both are very family oriented. Would it have been great if she hooked up with one of your footballers, sure, but she doesn't swing that way so let's hope they have many happy years together. 🥰🥰

I didn't watch the Super Bowl but I followed the reactions to everything surrounding the game. I don't mind American football but it is too stop/start for my liking. Also, the endless advertisements, you could say the sport is... Taylor-made (pun fully intended) for television. 😂 Speaking of, I don't feel strongly either way about Taylor and Travis but they seem genuinely in love and Taylor's presence is annoying all of the right (and I do mean RIGHT) kind of people. Good for them! I watched the Arsenal-City game and, as much as it pains me to say this as a United fan, City were by far the better team and deserved to win by more than just one goal. Its kind of ironic that Travis pushing his coach and Katie's antics happened on the same weekend because they both have one thing in common: if a player of colour did the exact same things, their actions would be viewed a lot differently (i.e. negatively) than Katie and Travis. Its a clear but horrible double standard.

I watched the Superbowl (night time in Central Europe) as I have been doing it for many years. I rooted for the Chiefs because: a) they are an AFC team as my Dolphins. b) I can't forgive the 49ers the way they treated Colin Kaepernick. It definitely seems like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are in love, and it's nice that due to this, more people watch the NFL. The way Travis Kelce shouted at his coach and shoved him wasn't putting him in a nice light. I don't think that others would have gotten away with such a behaviour. Katie McCabe is physical, but why is it always a bad thing when females do it. I don't think many would criticise a male player for being physical. I think it was a goal for Arsenal, but the ruling on the field stands. It would be great to have VAR technology in the WSL, but it's a question of costs, especially for smaller clubs with smaller stadiums. I would, however, use it in pitches where it's already installed for the men's game. It would be nice to have a reconciliation between Katie, Caitlin, and Ruesha on Valentine's Day, but I wouldn't expect some big act in today's match.

And Yes THANK YOU for reminding me about the history with 49ers and Collin Kaepernick what they did (and the whole nfl) was wrong and will go down in history as a great injustice in the sports world. Travis bumping Andy Reid was pretty bad. Even though Andy said he was being passionate that doesn't make it right. Wild wild night that was.

Katie has crossed the line between being entertaining and being a thug. It’s not cool anymore…yep, violent conduct, and one day she IS going to really hurt someone. Why does she get away with it???? Also. Lotte’s challenge was truly dreadful…she should have been red carded and City should have had a penalty. Also! Rachel Daly was sent off after a review AFTER the match, why wasn’t Wubbon-Moy dealt with after a review after the match? And why do people keep saying it wasn’t violent and intentional?? It was both (and I love Lotte!!) Also. Apparently it has been retrospectively reviewed by VAR officials (apparently they do this for their own sakes, to monitor themselves) and apparently WASN’T all the way over the line?! Looked it to me 🤷‍♀️😁, but loads of sources have said this is what happened (the retro ‘no goal’ review)!

Katie doesn't really need to be a dirty player, because she's so damn good, but she chooses to be at moments & therefore justifiably gets the label DIRTY at moments. Like she's SO talented & yet still feels the need to do those kind of things. There's playing physical for sake of competition, like going into beast mode which is acceptable, & then there's unnecessary roughness going into jerk mode . Like hitting Chloe Kelly intentionally in the head with the ball that time, or pushing Lauren in this past game. It reads as shady & intentional, & to then flop SO obviously when there is very mild retaliation, acting like the victim throwing her hands up. It's a she knows that we know, but still tries to pretend it's genuine. She gets no Oscar. Flopping is whack. She really isn't fooling no one. She's should cut that aspect out of her game & let her bad ass playing do the talking. As far as the goal over the line goes, they brought up a good point on Attacking Third, it would've tied the game, yes, but that's 2 minutes of the entire game, Jonas can deflect & blame the loss entirely on that one missed call, but they had 88 other minutes or whatever the end time was, to make it happen. Gotta take some accountability when yr team is that stacked & it's still not coming together, something is afoot.

i liked american football back in the day , i was an la raiders fan , outsiders in 84 fantastic , and i used to have that monday in feb off work so i could watch it all night .. but about 10 yrs ago it got soft with to many yellow flags breath on the quaterback yellow flag .. it was a greatgame ruined by politics id rather watch rugby these days

the NFL has figured out how to get girls and women who wouldn't normally watch American football to tune in. It all seems very insidious and pre-planned but Taylor and Travis seem genuinely in love. I just hope they last for Travis' sake because, if history has taught us anything, when the Swifties turn on you, they REALLY make you suffer. 😂

I'm English and I think the sport is highly overrated; boring. And why is it called American football when they're using their hands, shouldn't it be called "American handball"? While the sport they're using their feet you call soccer? So backwards.
