The car came out great. On the cold starts, the old rule was pump the gas twice, and foot on the floor for a cold start, and depending on the carb setup, light tap before starting for warm start.

Taylor if no one has already said it, there is a very affordable tool that you can buy on Amazon to help identify vacuum leaks. Tool has a cannister that you put baby oil in, has a small heater in the cannister, heats up and smokes the oil, tool connects to shop air and has an internal regulator set for 1psi output, air pressure pushes smoke through the vacuum system helping to identify leaks, cracked line, leaking gaskets, etc.

@@fast97z24 you’re not lying. If was able to get ahold of something like this for anywhere near a decent price, I’d probably go all original. I mean everything is there already in mostly pretty dang good working order and shape. So after just initially getting it running, redoing to carb would be next mission. I’m not judging what the guy’s plans are with the car or anything but there’s tons of hot rodded monte Carlos out there. How many all original SS’s in that good of shape do you see out their. And it’s only going to get more rare as time goes by.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for the cleaning of the SS Monte Carlo. That car is in excellent condition and the fact it’s still in your family makes for a great story. Now we can all be held in suspense waiting for the engine swap. I would go for a BBC even though a turbo LS would be a nice setup. The car cleaned up nice now all you need is a set of Center Line Convo Pro rims. I had set of them back in the day on my Corvette and loved that trash can look.

I know you have a phase 2 version in line for this thing, but I dunno if I'd be able to stop myself on adding some nice white lettered BFGoodrich's in the proper size to those wheels to REALLY make that thing pop. Hey Taylor, Want to say im super keen to see the G body added to the channel especially considering how much it means to yourself and your family 👍 I would recommend getting a vaccum gauge, My 1970 Kingswood was in a similar way with it being able to idle and drive fine but it would need 7 minutes of choke and warming before it could idle and drive without stalling. Within 5 minutes of hooking up the vaccum gauage and adjusting the idle set and mixture screws it runs cleaner and maybe needs 20 seconds of choke before its running Mad love from Australia and keep up the good work 🇦🇺
