Using TinyCam pro to host WyzeCams and other cameras is a great way to add your local video feeds into ActionTiles. In this video, we go over adding the cameras to TinyCam Pro and setting up a web server to prepare us to add them into ActionTiles.

Hi, im in the UK and trying to set some camera up to display on actiontiles, I have neos cam which I believe is wyze cam in the US, also have ring doorbell and Arlo and Samsung hd pro camera, not having any luck with any, Purchased the tiny pro app and tried all the above but not having any luck, is this where you tell me that it wont work in the UK ?

With the blink app, if you start live viewing the camera stops recording. when viewed through this app, does the recording stop?

Hoping you can help. I’m using tinycam pro with arlo cams. I input up numbers and enter admin name and password and click on live view all cameras I do not get image. It is picking up Camera names just not displaying feed. What am I doing wrong? Thanks and love the videos

Hey Taylor tech. Tiny cam pro was updated. No more low bandwith. I sucessfully added a DLink camera in tiny cam, as per your instructions. Channel 1 default. I successfully added my wyze cam in Tiny cam, but i can't select channel 2, it say i only have 1 wyze cam, so both channel 1. I launched webserver for tiny cam, but when I log onto the url from my laptop I can only see 1 live feed, the DLink camera not the wyze cam. Live feed inside tynycam APP on my tablet I can perfectly see both live feeds , from both cameras. If I try to change change channel for my Dlink to, channel 2 it lets me, when I try URL still only shows Dlink camera. I Can't get wyze cam feed to show up in tnycam URL (webserver) and therefore cannot add it in action tiles, as soon I put camera=2 its says invalid URL in action tiles . Any ides I'm stumped.

Nest cam can actually be used if it's shared publicly using the public ID at the end of the URL. There's an option under my media.

I have Tiny Cam Pro, but why would want I to use it over the Wyze app? Extra functionality or something?

To simply view the cameras on your phone, there's no extra benefit other than being able to view multiple streams on one screen. But, if you want the stream in ActionTiles, you need to use TinyCam to get the wyze into ActionTiles.

Drew - You can skip all that TinyCam mess by converting the RTSP feed to HTTP directly using VLC in windows. There is a script on GitHub (look for cctv-startup.bat).

In the UK, the Wyze Cams are branded as Neos SmartCam (not sure if firmware and app is shared etc). Has anyone managed to add streams from Neos into their AT panel here in the UK? Thanks

I believe Neos is using the same hardware as Wyze and runs different fw and app and it's a completely different company. I would try to find a genuine wyze cam. I'm not sure if they deliver to the UK maybe try eBay? But to answer your question, no I do not know a way to show Neos on your AT panel.

I wonder if the SmartThings cam will work in action tiles? I like its integration within the SmartThings app. But don't like that it can ONLY be used in the SmartThings app, and can't record more than 10 seconds and only stores on the cloud.... Why sell me a camera that cant even record long enough for my daughter to get sung happy birthday.

Have not tried. Can you view the feed locally on a browser somehow by entering in the IP address for example?

Unfortunately, just shortly before their acquisition by Amazon, Blink removed all 3rd party access to their Cameras except for basic IFTTT functionality. Similarly for proprietary cloud cameras like Amazon Cloud Cam, Ring, and, officially, Nest. But note... Even Wyze Cam doesn't have a published access method - instead, the developer of +tinyCam just reverse engineered it. By popular request, he may try to support additional cloud based cameras!

Hey, since this video is about actiontiles I have a question: is there a way in actiontiles or via a 3rd party application to integrate other webpages as still images, gifs or streams? I have tried to search everywhere for an application that is able to do that, but without any luck. Con someone help me out about this? In case it helps: I have a nas running 24/7 from synology that could run a docker container, virtual operating system or something else if needed and is publicly accessible via the synology dyndns service (ip v4, not quickconnect). thanks to anyone that can help me out or give me some ideas on how to realize this.

Yeah, for europe and specially in my region I wouldn't find any website that offers forecast or weather radar of any sort. I would love to just say webpage xyz.com region 470px by 300px and refresh every xx minutes. do you know something?

Hi Jarno: The ability to embed properly formatted and non-restricted web pages in a Tile is a pretty popular Feature Request that we are research. Please add your VOTES to the request and also follow it for progress. There are some pretty complex ways to rasterize a view of a page into an image that is compatible with existing Media Tiles, but, in most cases, that's likely not worth the effort. Wyze Labs is not listed as a vendor when I downloaded it to Android 4.0.4 tablet. I scanned my network and my camera was found but I cannot access it.

I believe you on the Wyze cameras and want to buy a bunch of them, I buy on smile.amazon can you add a link where you get a bit for me buying? They have a save more if you buy 2 at a time, the problem is that it says ships in 1-3 MONTHs!! seems this is an error, I tried to find out with "chat" and the person on mars, didn't have a clue, maybe you do. Thanks for a great video/series.

No, it does not integrate with smartthings besides through ifttt. It does, however, work with Alexa like outlined in one of the previous videos.

Change the channel from 1 to 2 even for the first one... i had the same issue... mine start from channel 2 and so on
