Interestingly, the Sourcebook goofed with the Mauler. It claimed the design was from 3039, but the technical readout series stressed that the Mauler was a 3050-ish design. To handle this discrepancy, they created the Daboku in later editions, which had a reputation for ejecting its pilot if you hit it's lower center torso...a feature that is, in fact, a tongue-in-cheek reference to the animated series action figures.

an observation. You declared "torso twist" during the Movement Phase. That is not necesary, the torso twist is declared during Shooting Phase and it does not change the original facing for locations rolls against the torso twisting unit.

I'm so excited to watch this series. You built up my anticipation when you announced you were doing this and I'm glad the first episode is here. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning!

When a mech does a physical attack one level below a target, it can only punch (or use arm mounted physical weapons) and you use the kick table for the hit. The reverse is true for attacking from a level above, you can only kick and use the punch table. Also, you do add terrain modifiers cumulatively. Especially for woods, you can have a maximum of +2 modifier for woods or LOS is obstructed. This means a single hex of heavy or two hexes of light woods can be seen through. I also believe this adds to the modifier for partial cover behind elevated terrain.

the partial cover modifier only applies to standing adjacent to and behind an elevation difference of +1 and only protects the legs, splitting the line between two different terrain is the defenders choice of which it counts as passing through.

When the internal structure takes damage it's only a chance of a critical. On an 8 or better.

Thanks for posting some Battletech content. Been playing for many years and still love it. The new plastic minis and new beautiful maps have revitalized the local BT scene. Enjoyed watching the video and hilarious commentary! Keep up the quality content.
