I would absolutely watch that format, with one tweak - they have a camera out in the hall filming the guest getting more and more frustrated, and every so often Sona has to come outside and tell them it's gonna be just five more minutes.

I recognized the song right away. It's on a lot of those satellite stations that are playing in stores. When I was growing up, it was on the local oldies station.

@@fieonshakespearenut As I said, I initially became aware of it because it was on the local oldies station. I didn't first hear it in a store. My point was that it's a song that's kind of ubiquitous, so it's weird that someone would not be aware of it.

Instead of changing the format of the show, make this idea a separate micro podcast called "Conan O'Brien Needs a Bandmate." Anytime you have a guest who's a musician on CONAF, you record this separate segment as bonus content. The podcast starts with Conan and Matt very seriously talking about how they need a bandmate, then they ask their guest a music related question as part of the audition process. Two seconds after the guest starts to answer the question, Conan and Matt should just launch into a ditty they wrote and ignore the guest. When the song is finished, they should confront the guest about never joining in despite not having any instruments and not knowing their song. If the guest ever does try to join in, stop the song immediately and confront the guest about how awful they're making the song sound with their contributions. The podcast always ends with a very upset Conan asking the guest to leave because they either won't contribute or because they "don't understand the material." Sona, naturally, would always play devil's advocate for the guest.

Next, he wonders why he's being seated at the end of the table alongside Adam and Bley (instead of working behind a booth). Then the door is locked. Then he realizes that he's there as fresh human fodder to be skewered and eaten by Conan, all on KZfaq. "Get me outta here!"

i don't think i've ever seen having to remove copyrighted music done so well before. give the exact title/artist/year of song so that we can just look it up and listen to it ourselves (anyone who knows how to use the internet can find any song for free). thanks team coco, you're the best. copyright is useless when every piece of media is available for free. i love the internet.

Twenty years after the song was released was nearly thirty years ago from today. There are whole adults now who never grew up listening to classic rock, classic rock radio, or radio. It's not surprising the song is now pretty much unknown amongst a room full of people.

11:37 Conan recording alone, literally alone without guests, engineers, phones or computers. Just alone with his thoughts as he is driven into madness. The podcast opens with a fan letter and goes from there. For at least an hour. Maybe he gets some paper and crayons so he can still doodle / write back.
