I saw zach once and he knew that I knew and he just kept staring at me through out the store. From outside to inside and back again outside he honestly wouldn’t stop starting at me and then at the end we kinda got in our cars at the same time and he just gave me the most classic zach face and I was dying in laughter and he waved and I waved and it was absolutely perfect.

Alcohol and cigarettes addiction actually destroyed my life. I could remember several years ago after divorce with my wife which brought me into my disastrous journey on Alcohol and cigarettes. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until a friend recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

Antidepressants at 18-29. 31 now. I took way to much, but took about 20g of Gold caps (Psilocybin containing mushroom) I analyzed my entire life. The emotions that came out helped me understand behavior etc more. Wont ever need to do it again because I'm happy and contempt forever, but I wish more people did this to alter their perception of reality. Would help with healing much trauma

Most comedians will have material prepped (and occasionally the hosts will be in on the jokes to set them up properly), actors will also have previews of questions that get run past them and their teams for approval, and some even have the writers give them jokes to appear wittier. It’s all very performative, which is also why some of the most memorable interviews are the ones where the guest is completely off the cuff and throws everything out of loop

I can’t even imagine dealing with crowds of people noticing you everywhere you go. I saw Zach at a bar in Hollywood back in 2005 right before he got really big fandom with the hangover. Only me and one other friend even knew who he was from out cold, but we just let him be. He was literally at the bar drinking a beer by himself and not a single person came up to him the whole time we were there. I’ll bet Zach misses those days when he could be at a restaurant or bar and no one bothers him.

You are a Saint sir. Harrison Ford comes to my town all the time, he has a place out here and loves one of the local restaurants. I've battled drinking from the age of 25 to 45 because I found myself living for the weekends and not happy with my choice of work carrier. I would drink through the week to cope with life and binge drink with friends on weekends when possible. At 45 I emotionally knew I was failing in life by my choices and actions from alcohol. At 47 I found my passion for the outdoors to be more true to myself, so I started a tube channel for fishing and camping. I am happy to say that I found myself before loosing everything I had embracing me like my wife and kids to the true friends that were not abusers. I can stay sober for weeks now and choose when and how much I want to drink if I choose to with friends. Life really begins when you understand!

He's one of those people who was simply just born to do comedy. It's so effortless seeming to him that I think it's just his actual, natural personality. I got a pretty funny little story actually. I wasn't there but my neighbors were all hanging out, I live in a very touristy area and a lot of movies are filmed around here but it's not California/Hollywood, and at the time he was filming "The Campaign" with Will Ferrell. Anyway, my neighbor is very open to the tourists and passers-by and her front door is basically always unlocked if not outright open and there's almost always a party going down when she's in town. Anyway, one night none other than Zach Galifianakis shows up, walks in and just wants to kind of see what is going on at this open house gathering. He's talking to my neighbor for like maybe 20-30 minutes or so, and finally he asks "Where is the best bar around here?" because in this same area there is basically nothing but bars and clubs and restaurants. She recommends one to him, he says thanks and goes on his merry way. As he's leaving, my neighbor's daughter is like "Don't you even know who that was?" and she said "No, who is he?" and then her daughter tells her "Dude, that's Zach Galifianakis! He's a pretty famous comedian!" and my neighbor immediately shuffles outside and is like "ZACH! Zach, come back here for a second!" and he does. She says "Are you famous?" and he says "Well, I thought I was"

Not really. If you drink small amounts, it wouldn't really change your life at all to quit. I know because I did it. Used to drink like every weekend, but haven't for the past few years. No difference whatsoever outside of maybe saving a little money, but that just ends up going somewhere else anyways.

My personal "quit drinking" story - Battle buddies convinced me that, after taking night medication for a cold, it would be a great idea to have a few drinks. This was under the guise of celebrating their return to Iraq the following week from Camp Shelby MS (which was where we were at the time - in Hattiesburg MS). I don't remember anything after that, other than waking up the following morning in University Hospital (Tulane) in New Orleans; chained to a hospital gurney, no pants, no underwear, no phone, half of a pair of shoes, and a few fractured bones. Apparently a cop car had shown up a few hours earlier and the two officers piloting this shuttle dropped me out on the curb in front of the hospital entrance before slowly driving away. There are more stories than this that constantly filter in through various recounted tales from nurses who fielded calls on your antics all night. Imagine having to explain everything you know, which is being told to you through second-hand accounts, to your wife who lives 8 hours away - while convincing her its a good idea to come and pick you up.
