In this video I'm starting off a series of videos where I will be showing you the full disassembly and reassembly of the single-fire models of the WE / TM Glock series gas blowback pistols.
This video covers disassembly of the slide.
This guide only covers semi-automatic only models!
Please note that for TM models there may be some minor variations, but the major components and steps should be the same.

Absolutely the best series I've found on disassembly for the G19. Easy to understand and laid in a great manner. Was easily able to replace my hammer bearing because of it, thanks!

any tips on a extremly tight screw on the blowback unit i dont want to strip the screw but i dosent want to budge

Which screw exactly? The rear sight or the one under the piston head/cup? Penetrating fluid (non rubber/plastic damaging), silicone oil, heat (lighter, propane torch, very lightly), proper screw driver that fits tightly in the screw grooves. Mount screw driver in screw head, give it a medium tap with a hammer. Hopefully one or a couple of those things work without damaging anything. If something does get damanged KY Airsoft (www.kyairsoft.com/) has all the spare parts :)

@@CJAwesome83 thanks for the reply, my g17 is majority after market upgrades so i dont really want to start replaceing expensive parts because of a screw, ive tried a lubricant (WD40) and am currently trying silocon oil, but still no progress. thanks for the suggestions tho ;)

There is a piece on my inner barrel blocking me from taking it out and I need to replace the hop up bucking

@@CJAwesome83 i think on some non WE models there's a piece that kind of blocks the inner barrel/hopup assembly from simply falling out of the outer barrel. i see those on E&C glocks. great vid BTW

Hey i need help something broke in my hammer won't stay back so i won't be able to field strip my gun

Dang, that's a tricky situation to say the least :-| The only thing you can do is while holding the slide back try and get a thin angled tool in between the slide and frame to manually hold the hammer down while releasing the slide forward to remove it. Pretty much a 4-5 hand operation so not easy. Hrmmm... Yeah, that's a tough one to fix man...

what does the spring above the nozzle do? Is it there so that when gas enters the nozzle, the slide can start to move back but the nozzle stays in place a little longer, allowing more gas to flow to the bb?

It's main purpose is simply to retract the nozzle back into the blow back housing after the slides has cycled to prevent it from jamming in an "out of battery" position. But also as you state it also acts as a sort of delayed carrier function for the nozzle to remain attached to the hop up unit to allow the BB to be fully fired out of the barrel before starting it's retraction with the slide.

Very thorough. I bought an SRU G17 slide, and I noticed it didn't come with a nozzle spring guide. Does the WE G17 even have one at all? KYAirsoft is selling it under part #52 based off of diagrams, but the diagram doesn't seem to be for the same version of G17 (the nozzle design in them is different, with part of the nozzle/piston being flat like a TM G18C).

I do not have any experience of the SRU G series. But the nozzle spring guide is not really an essential part for operation but it does provide more stability and durability for the nozzle function. You could try buying one from KY Airsoft and see if it will install in your SRU.

@@CJAwesome83 SRU makes their stuff to WE spec, to the best of my knowledge. Would a metal WE G18 guide work, or should I go with the plastic TM spec ones??

You should get the KY Airsoft WE OEM replacement part for the G Series Auto pistols: www.kyairsoft.com/g-g-52-nozzle-spring-guide-auto-gbbp.html Since your SRU G nozzle is like a G18 design with flat top.

What gun is it? It might be dovetailed in there and needs to be pushed out sideways? Or try tapping it out from underneath with a punch that fits in the screw hole. But be careful not to damage the threads. Might just be stuck by some thread lock or something.

Not sure if the WE G27 is based on TM or KJW. But for the KJW G27 the rear slide plate is a part of the blowback housing and cannot be removed. This might be the case for you.

great video! just a quick question though, is the loading nozzle of a WE G17 the same size as a WE G19 loading nozzle, because I can't find an enhanced loading nozzle that is specifically for WE G19 model or will loading nozzles for TM compatible with WE? just new to gbb's. Thanks!

Yep it's the same nozzle and BBU etc. Hop up housing is KJW Glock 19 style though.

at 10:22 that little spacer piece fell out of my gun while i was fixing the blowback unit or nozzle and not too sure how its supposed to go back in

Well damn you! Only part I do not cover in these videos and you have to have yours falling out :p I think it's just press fitted in there man. Put it back in with some double sided tape or something. Freeze frame at 10:28 and notice how to front edge (towards muzzle) is slightly more curved on the front edge. Best of luck!

great video bro. just a quick question, would you know if the internal parts shown here is the same with a we g17? meaning if i intend to replace a part for a g19 i can get a g17 part and vice versa? also if we are to talk about g18 and g23?

Hey, thanks! Yes, the internals are the same for G17 and G19 and for G18 and G23 :)

No worries :D I am not sure if it is exactly the same, but it should be very similar. The main difference would be that the M22 is select fire so there are some extra components in the slide and frame. You should look for videos on the G18 models as additional reference.

Not sure you have to depending on how tight the fit is but I did it just to make sure it does not come out.

Ok, got my parts now but have a couple of issues. I got the inner barrel/hop-up into the steel barrel, but CAN NOT get it out again. Any advice on that? Also, the slide came with a blowback housing but I can NOT get the piston head seated, not sure if I am putting it in the wrong way or something else, but the screw just won't go in far enough so the piston is just lose and wobbling around. (even when trying to reattach the piston to the original TM housing it won't sit entirely flat but will have some wobble to it)

Hmmm... Can't say I've ever experienced that with the inner/outer barrel :o I seem to recall my piston head also not seating tight all the way. Might be by design. If you want it to sit tight shorten down the screw a bit.

Yeah, I saw that when rewatching it. The wobble for me was huge though, several millimeters. I found a short screw in one of the bags though that seems to fit and looks like it fixed the problem so I assume that was what it was for. Mounted the slide without the extractor as it seems to be a trouble part and it felt great, nice sound, racked fine.. BUT. when I fire the gun it won't cycle, AT ALL, the BB goes off with a kind of weird sound and nothing else happens. Manually rack it again and another shot will fire, and same again.

Have not tried it first hand but 99,9% sure it works. I have used Guarder TM Glock 17 housings in my WE Glocks and it works perfectly!

Without the inner barrel yes. But you would have to put the hop up housing in to keep the outer barrel in place.

Not really. But you won't be able to fire any BBs with it if you do. Just follow the video guides. Take off the slide. Remove guide rod. Remove inner barrel from outer barrel. Unscrew hop up housing. Remove inner barrel. Re-assemble hop-up housing. Install hop up housing in outer barrel. Reinstall in slide. Reinstall the slide. Should work :p

Is the piston head on your Glock series wobbly at all?

There might be a little play in it but nothing too bad. You could try tightening the screw holding the piston head in place :o

Yes and no. It is removable, and there are other plates out there for the TM platform that _might_ work on the WE G models but I have not tried it. Real slide plates are not compatible.

You'll want a TM spec inner barrel that is between 95-97mm for the WE G17. Also get a TM spec hop up rubber to go with that and it should work out great :)

I’ve put the slide on wrong, and it’s locked, the barrel is pointing out the front allot and the same with the guide spring pin or whatever it’s called on the front, HELP

Please try pulling on the guide rod and wiggle it around and it should seat in to position. Is your hammer mechanism still exposed at the back?
