Good video and channel.. I have the gt2 and love it. I wasn't bothered with smartwatch until this year, used to be put off by short battery life and no water resistant. Then this watch came out and I got it bundled with the excellent freelace earphones.. I've been so happy with this watch. Im getting 10 days battery and was wearing it frequently in pool, jacuzzi and sauna with no problem until lockdown😢

Heyy, Huawei Watch GT also received updates and thus it also have always on display in the settings... You can choose analog or digital.. 🥰

The Huawei Watch GT2 now has 4 Standby-Watchfaces, GT only 2 of them, but both have the same VERY stylish analog watchface with white & red pointers on black background. Both also feature auto-adjustment of the brightness of the always-on-display which works really nicely. For me the always-on display really really makes the Huawei watches stand out, they look very cool with the display turned on! And ... my GT and my GT2 both run more than a week with always-on display and GPS use for outdoor sports !

What smartwatch is your favourite one ? To be honest I think i will try the apple watch in december when i get an iphone for testing. But the Huawei watch is actually pretty good priced for what it offers. Thanks to Huawei for sponsoring both watches for the review !

Garmin by far, unfortunately way pricier as well. Waiting for Huawei to be able to connect to 3rd party apps like Strava, until then I'll stick with my Garmin.

I have GT1 and apple series 3. Apple watch lot of features but draw back is that daily you need to charge. Now I got GT2 which is pretty much better then apple and GT1. I daily walk/ jogg plus 4 Km. I do not carry my phone while walking due to inbuilt GPS and listen music too which is pretty cool.

I have a Galaxy Watch and a Watch GT, for me, the "no speaker" on the Watch GT is the deal breaker, it's soooo comfortable to be able to answer the phone without taking it out of the bag or run to the other room, which is why the Watch GT is in it's box waiting to become a Christmas gift or something ;) However, the Watch GT got better sleep tracking, the Galaxy Watch thinks I'm sleeping when I watch the TV, so it's a lot of "editing" of my sleep time. No problems on the Watch GT for that. The Watch GT got very limited watch faces, while the Galaxy Watch got as many as you want and it's fairly easy to make your own.

liking the look only issue im wondering about is with the new Glass watch face that goes all way to edge of watch how is it with accidental clothing contact on the screen? with the GT! you had the raised bezil which stopped the accidental clothing movement activating screeen.? had the issue with the Huawei Watch 2 where my coat would stop my music or change songs by my clothing moving on the screen.

I actually like the looks of the GT a lot more than the GT2. It looks more premium imo. Also the Watch GT is $100 at Amazon right now. No brainer at that price point!

In the UK right now it's £80 with a mini bt speaker as a gift. The GT2 is available for £150. I'm struggling to see why I should pay nearly double for the extra features.

I just bought this for $100 AUD or $73 US or £56 the GT version that is. I do think it looks alot more premium than the GT 2, it also has screen protection for the ceramic ring around the watch keeps the watch face from touching any surface. Also the one I purchased has the brown leather strap and looks really classy. It hasn't got as many features as my LG smart watch, but I'll take battery life over features any day.

Can any Huawei watch or health app itself auto detect whenever you are on the bicycle? I have used Google fit on Nokia 3.2 up till recently and it auto tracked my rides, but I can't get it to work on Huawei P smart Z.

Any idea how this watch functions in open water? It's ATM5 and marketed as a swimming / triathlon watch, but I can't find any info about GPS accuracy. Also not about how the touchscreen reacts when wet.

Using the watch for a month. Going to the swimming pool twice per week and recording data. Went underwater ~4meters, stayed in water 2hours+... no problems. No problems with the touch.

I used to have Xiaomi Amazfit Pace smart watch and one of the feature I loved, was navigating during an activity (e.g. cycling) using preloaded GPX file. But almost nobody tests, even mentions, this feature in their KZfaq previews of any other smart watches. Can anybody confirm that GT2 has or has not this feature? Thanks.

I currently have an Amazfit Bip which I love but I'd like a bigger screen due to poor eyesight AND the big bugbear for me is the lack of multi-tasking. Often I use a countdown timer and as long as that is running I cannot move to another mode which is a major, major PITA. Also when running the timer it is very easy to accidentally activate the screen and pause the countdown. I'd love a watch with the GT2 screen size and quality but with multi-tasking. Why on earth has this not been implemented for this higher spec watch? Baffling???

Galaxy watch has a lot more features but its quite heavy. GT2 is great for battery backup n looks cool too. Its lightweight so its a great companion during physical activities.

When you said it is 5atm water resistant for 10 minutes at a time does that mean you can only be swimming for 10 minutes?

Pretty sure that means it can only be kept at max depth for 10 minutes. Swimming at the surface should be limitless.

I think heuwei has to think about their apps as their a Chinese basis country even know majority of Chinese use what'sapp and Wechat not installed is the onside. Paying tap would be an option but this watch is expensive in Australia as its $400Aud at the local Electrical stores and Samsung Galaxy Watch 46mm is $250Aud

My gt watch got always on display and also the show time can be increase. Maybe you have not got the latest firmware yet.

@@TechMagnet in the setting there is a screen on time from 5 to 20min. And I also notice in notification the icon is follow which apps I use. There is whatsapp icon etc. Mine is Asia Pacific version, I not sure whether every region firmware is the same.

Why does non of the reviews out there mention the fact that GT2 doesn't count the resting calories? I've watched numerous reviews and nobody mentions it. The watch is fitness focused and doesn't count resting calories. How is that even possible? Total calorie count is super important from people who are into fitness and this watch doesn't have it. It's ridiculous.

Jinisinsane hi, basically you can read all the notifications. So whatever your phone is receiving you will see it on the phone. The exception is that the watch is loading only a limited amount of text, similar to phones notification ( if you want to see the full text, you have to open in the app). Therefore you can see from news apps up to emails and sms..
