This is my comparison video of the BlackBerry Mobile KEY2 and KEY2 LE. The BlackBerry KEY2 and KEY2 LE are the two phones made by BlackBerry Mobile in 2018, and are the best keyboard phones on the market. However, while they may look the same on the outside, there are a lot of core differences that aren't apparent by looking at them. They have the same screen and look the same on the outside, but the processor is different, the memory is different, the cameras are different, and much more. Awesome video brotha! Much appreciated. Been with blackberry before they even had a touch screen. Kinda skeptical to follow up with the newer ones i stayed at the bb classic which had the touchscreen but classic bb frame. I traded apps for efficiency. But this seems to bring both worlds together with style.

Thanks! Yeah, and I think that's why they launched the KEY2 LE afterward, so they could offer a cheaper alternative but still give people a keyboard phone. Unfortunately they haven't really dropped the price and availability is scarce too, plus it's over a year old now. I'm interested to see what will happen moving forward. I'm starting to get a little concerned about the future of the BlackBerry Mobile Devices. Maybe something will happen though.

I'm constantly using social media and want the key 2 is the lite version in your opinion not as good or not much difference. Subscribed great informative video.

If you just want to use it for social media and casual use, the LE is perfectly fine. The camera really isn’t very good but from a performance perspective it’s definitely viable as a daily driver and for social media. I actually prefer the keyboard on the LE as well.

I have a question for you ; Since TLC won’t be partening with BB anymore, do you think it still worth to get a the key2 ? I’ve been fangirling over the k2 over the last 2 years. I’ve heard that bb isn’t going to keep a feet in the game for long enough, so i had concerns on getting it.... Also, do you think/know if the security will fail or has fail in the past with bb ? @TechOdyssey

Which one seems to have a more sustainable frame finish as far as being susceptible to visible scratches, sign of wear/usage? I have seen pictures of the red (used) with the top corners almost completely worn off. I have had my Black K2 (6/128) for over a year with no such signs of usage. Thanks for the video.

In my opinion, the Key2 is not very prone to major scratches. That's from what I've seen from reviews, I have not received my Key2 as of yet unfortunately. I will edit my comment once I receive it and give an actual opinion. Your Key2, do you carry it without a case and some other extras? I'm still getting ideas.

@@SebVictor I carry it with the OEM soft shell case, and also have the aftermarket BlackBerry leather pocket option. The gray color LE has proven to be less prone to scratches imo, compared to the other Key2 LE color options. I have had no complaints with my Key2 either except for the finger print sensor which can sometimes test my patience.

I was able to find a Key2 LE Atomic Red for $350. Can't wait until it comes!

@@TechOdyssey It's considered used because of the missing box but has all the original contents with the manual. I think it maybe was opened and used for a small amount of time. But not completing refurbished. All original parts. Possibly a return.

Can Key2 case fit a Key2LE?

One downside to the polycarbonate is while its lighter, poly carb is much softer s if you dont use a case it will be more prone to scratching.

Yes. the frame is prone to scratching more easily, versus a metal frame. I haven't had any issues though. Just have to be careful with the phone and pay attention to what you carry in your pockets with it, like keys

How come atnt says they cant activate my new sim card on the key2 saying they dont support 3g anymore when i keep telling them it's a 4g ?

Because it uses 2G/3G to make phone calls and not 4G and ATT is not letting phones that it doesn’t support to use VoLTE on its network. They are doing this to a lot of people

Can Blackberry key2 LE operate Android 9 Pie? I actually dont wana use it with Pie 9, Because some apps don't work anymore on 9 Pie, which i used previously on android 8, specially apps like Call Recorders. Can you tell me?

The phone is stuck on Android 8.1. Unless BlackBerry Mobile magically pushes out an Android 9 update or great to the device before the license expires in August, it will be on Android 8.1 for the remainder of the device's lifespan.

@@TechOdyssey I am currently using Note 8 with Android 9. It was great when it was with Android 8. Don't wana use it anymore because looking for something good with android 8. Today i have ordered this BlackBerry key2 Le. Hope for the best, wish to remain on Android 8. Thanks for reply. Great review. 👍

I wonder if the Android system, and the fact they no longer control the hardware, renders it's well known security, useless? There is a bigger game at play to push them out of the market. They truly have incredible security on controlled hardware, bet Google and them hate that..
