Absolutely worth the update. There are a score and more of feature differences and enhancements over the previous version. Battery BLK-22/ processor/ USB-C PD/ LCD/ AR Coating/ Wireless Streaming are the physical hardware differences alone, plus V-Log L. Th GH5II is basically the camera the original should have been, and easily could have since it is basically a GH5 version of a G9, which was released shortly after, plus superior IBIS and wireless streaming. The AF is more than slightly better, image quality is ever so sharper, and the low light is also closer to APS-C levels… When the price was discounted $200 less over the holidays, it was too tempting to pass up… …

hi👋 have you made livestreams outdoor by connecting this camera to the smarthone for internet connection? and how is the quality of a streaming in general? Can you do 4k streaming?

I shoot live theatre, concerts and dance shows. I found the auto focus on the GH5 Mk2 to be very reliable. Yes, you can charge the battery by USB, but beware there are limitations. Only a few USB batteries have enough power to run this camera. I thought I had a USB battery that was good enough but it quit half way through a job. Even though the battery still had power it didn’t have enough to power the camera on it’s own.

So I purchased a GH5 II and it’s amazing. Used it for a full day vlog (using AF-C face tracking) and it performed amazingly. Vlog is up on my channel if you’re interested in seeing how it performed. Switching to this for a vlogging/KZfaq camera coming from a Sony A6400.

hey I have seen your video and it looks astonishing just on full HD and it looks way better then my videos made by smarthone on 4k quality... have you ever made lifestream outdoor by conecting this gh5 mark2 to the smartphone for internet connection? is so how it goes? how is the qualty of a lifestream is it fullhd or you can do 4k on a lifestream???

Upgraded from my GH5 and it's virtually a new camera. I find the autofocus great but generally use manual for video especially as Panasonic have great manual aids and I prefer correcting manually as one gets better focus pulls. Better colour science and now we have 14-bit raw stills, a significant improvement.

I, too, will choose GH5M2, but I think Fujifilm X- T4 could be much better for photography!

How do you think this camera would work for real estate photos? I am not liking the small crop frame thing. But I do need a camera for what i am planning to do with my KZfaq channel and it seems this is is exceptional for video.

Hi I love photography and I mostly focus on videography and also I started making lifestreaming in my food permaculture project at my garden but also i life stream from home but I use smartphone outdoor and a little web cam 720p at home and i would like to update to more professional equipment and I have £1600 to spend and was thinking about to buy lumix gh5 ii or sony alpha 7 iii.... Can you guys please suggest me what camera i should really buy? or should a just go for one of those small compact mirrorless cameras that are on around £700 but I also like to grow my Videography and photography passion to more pro and inculde travel videoes as long as shooting videos of my permacuture and lifestreams and I have heard that I can life stream by use of GH5 m2 by conecting it to the smarthone for internet connection????

Cinelike D2 is not usable. It has erors and I found that in several situations I've got a grey skin on the faces of the people and some time spots of red or orange. Do not use CInelike D2!

I just feel like you move your hands way too much throughout the video and it’s distracting because the majority of your hand gestures serve no purpose. Aside from that, this was a great overall review/video. Thank you 🙏🏽
