I think the issue at large was the switch to yearly chapters that completely threw the storyline off track (which it still has not recovered from) and led to Fracture being a rushed and overall bad "event". This concept sounds so much more engaging and interactive than the actual event was that it's mind blowing they decided to go with the route they did. I really hope the end of Chapter 4 event is good, we desperately need it to be.

The main reason I didn't like Fracture because it didn't follow its own story. Throughout Ch3S4 we were teased of The Nothing constantly with Bytes' quests and cosmetic descriptions. And Bytes was told he will be summoned in need, leading us to think for a fight or even a mini-boss fight with him. Also, the loading screen for the event teased the Island fracturing and falling apart by chrome vortexes but instead gets covered by chrome and gets exploded by the Zero Point to free itself. And we can't forget about Jones being absent for the entire event, only appearing in the TBC screen with only his legs sticking out from the chair. And that's the last we saw of him. Even The Herald was killed off immediately, they removed all of the important characters, excluding Paradigm and AMIE. The event had no other purpose other than switching the map. If only Chapter 3 lasted longer, we might have gotten a satisfying ending for such a good map and Chapter (first half mostly, for me at least.)

I feel like as soon as chapter 3 season 3 started the finale couldn't be redeemed to being a fitting chapter finale. that season the story went from being in my opinion the most connected and sense making, even the best part of the story so far, to it throwing it all out of the window, going back to how it was in chapter 1 where things just happened and nobody understood it. the fact that the 2 main characters, Jones and Dwayne both stopped being in the story from that point really showed how they didn't know what they were doing. The chapter 2 finale was just perfect.. and somehow they forgot about all of it and decided to go with something completely different..? I feel like another reason the whole story was messed up mid chapter 3, is because of how short it was. it was similar to chapter 2, where the season started off with a normal map, and ended up with nothingness and evil spreading through it, apart from chapter 2 had 2 whole years to show the gradual decline of the island, while in chapter 3 it went from a normal island that just finished a war, to having an alien plant creature that randomly appeared and had the power of spreading chrome..?

Can we just get more events like the chapter 1 events, 10 minute events that felt like they had way more impact. Events shouldnt be interactive imo

for the confusion on why the island just exploded like that.. i believe it was the zero point that did that. it sent out a massive shockwave that pushed away everything surrounding it, in reaction to the chrome trying to consume it. thats possibly why it went dormant right after the explosion.

Maybe they’ll actually address the missing plot lines in ch4 for the event. (The whereabouts of agent jones. shapeless man and outbound, peace syndicate and triarch nox, whatever happened in the jungle and so on) Ever since ch4 s1 it feels like they’re just kinda making half a story only to trash it with no thought.

I think the chapter 4 finale will work as the final goodbye, and Chapter 5 will be a whole new beginning to the story. Donald Mustard's wife teased the event saying "it's even better than the original," whenever someone said that Donald has one last contribution to the story. What it means, I'm not sure.

The reason I didn’t like fracture was because the cutscenes were so laggy and fast paced that they just felt like a cheap placeholder.

Well Fracture being ch3 finale wasnt epic’s original plan they were gonna have Oathbound Last Resort Wilds and Mega be chapter 3 seasons so probably the reason why it was rushed was due to the fact that they changed their minds and went into a new chapter in probably near the end of c3 s3 or the start of ch3 s4 imo Fracture should have been an action event and a season finale event instead of a chapter finale.

They have also killed one of the best characters, because they wanted to cast a celebrity. I use to dig in deeper in the story but the last 2 Chapters were all over the place with collabs being integrated and story quest being nothing special because they have nothing to do with the lore.

it was my very first live event since i started playing in Ch3s3. i was just happy to finally experience a fortnite live event for myself and i was committed to seeing it through to the end. but i would be lying to myself if i said i wasn't disappointed. i had seen videos of other live events and they all happpened ON the fortnite map. the fracture event didn't. and that disappointed me.

Fortnite OG has been really interesting to me story wise I've only really experienced the live events from Chapter 3. I really enjoyed the on from C3S2 considering it felt like the culmination of the entire storyline and going from there it felt like there wasn't any real direct to go in. I hope that the time travel shenanigans of this current season lead into a live event and storyline that brings a more focused direction to go in

This was the first one I've played in a long while as I was on IOS up until Chapter 2 S2 due to my ipad not having enough storage to play the game (I was using it for school so that took priority). So when I got my PC last year I was kind of excited to get back into playing the game. Especially after my experience with the Season 9 event. (I got lost and ended up in between them both which was pretty cool) Then I was faced with this. All I wanted to do during this event was look around and explore as the mini island felt pretty cool but after a couple of minutes I got so bored I started doing the event itself.

I understand why people don’t like fracture, but I really enjoyed it. I didn’t think of it as a creative map, it felt like a open world game where you collect more items and you gain more of the map

It’s so strange that in the chapter 2 The end event Epic let us fight the cube queen,aliens and the caretakers but couldn’t let us fight aleast one person in the fractured event 😑

I think i know why it was so bad and rushed. Its because leakers before chapter 4 came they saw other season like the MEGA season and the WILDS season in the files for chapter 3. I think why they rushed it and pushed the mega season and wilds is because they did a last minute change to make yearly chapters so that means that they had to rush the event. Thats probrally why.

We don’t even know why the herald wanted to destroy the island. I feel like if we actually knew who she was and the event consisted of fighting her it would’ve made more sense. Instead, we got a creative uefn advertisement that lasted too long.

In my opinion I just think y’all are extremely ungrateful, the chapter was only 4 seasons long for god sake and you can’t expect every event to be perfect, what I feel happened is epic bit off more than they could chew BUT instead of dragging out the chapter or leaving us with nothing they put out fracture and ended chapter 3 to start fresh with chapter 4

ok that final part about it being confusing wasn't actully the real reason, it was because of epic games themselfs. in order for epic games to make a more consistant revenue, they desided that fortnite chapters should have only 4 seasons so chapters can be more consistant and gain them more money, they also changed up donalds original idea to make it more consistant. the chrome season wasn't even suppose to happen in season 4, it was suppose to happen latter on, chapter 4 season 2 was suppose to happen in chapter 4 season 4, chapter 4 season 3 was suppose to be chapter 3's 4th season, and all of this happened all because epic games were being too greedy, leaving us with the worst event in fortnite history.

I feel like another major component to Fracture’s hatred was actually the fact no one knew what it truly was. It WASNT *MEANT* to be a live event (Atleast, not the final product). Epic DID in fact take risk in making Fracture, instead of going for another live event finale for Chapter 3, they decided to create the first ever Social Event. Viewing Fracture as a social event rather than a live event makes a lot more sense in my opinion since it’s not meant to be an action packed extravaganza but a social space of sorts an event to hang out with your friends. So if Epic were to make more such events I’d personally say a major way to improve them would simply be to let it be clearer that this is NOT a live event but something else entirely. Fracture COULDVE been a great live event, but at the end of the day, that’s not what it was meant to be…
