There I was, it was the 70's and the concert was Ted Nugent, Blue Oyster Cult and ZZ Top. Ted's energy was nuts, he was running back and forth the stage and jumping off amps and screaming and playing the hell out of his guitar. He had the crowd going crazy. Next up was Blue oyster cult, they were called back out for 3 encores, that's right 3, they rocked their asses off and finally it was ZZ Top. Well, what can you say about the great Billy Gibbons, awesome. The longest concert I was ever at, lasted till 1:30 am. What an excellent time and memory.

I was there brother! The tour was maybe 1977 or 78, I saw it at The Checkerdome in St Louis Mo. I was probably 12 or 13 y/o with my older brother. Smoking $35 an ounce weed and having a blast. Good times.

Yeah man, I remember seeing a lot of bands who would do entire tours together. I remember seeing the Black and Blue tour in St Louis. Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult. I think that they took turns headlining. That was when Dio had just joined Sabbath and they had just released Heaven and Hell. Great album for sure.
@Hikursicovital3 ай бұрын
I can't believe I was even allowed to go to concerts that young. I remember my first concert where it was just me and a buddy. My mom dropped us off at SIU arena in Carbondale IL. We were barely 13 years old and saw Kansas on their Leftoverture tour.

We had to have our speakers on so the teacher could make sure we weren't cheating and that was the moment he chose to blast this song from the front room. So the teacher for sure heard that line, "when in doubt I'll whip it out, got me a rock and roll band - SUCK IT" So funny Great song!

Oh the memory's to this song! WOW! In my old Jeep CJ-5 with a 304 V8, headers. cruising blasting it on my stereo with the roof off my jeep, yup I thought I owned the world and I was only in high school. Jeep is gone, have 8 children, I'm old, and the song is till timeless and cool!

The beginnings of my misspent youth, I saw Ted twice. Once with AC/DC and Scorpions at the Spectrum in philly and at Giants stadium with Aerosmith and Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. The best part of the concert was as soon as Ted jumped on to the stage there was a LOUD clap of thunder.
