My 120 hour TEFL course had a 6 month time limit to finish it, but you can extend it and take as long as you need to complete the TEFL course by paying a little more to extend it. I had to extend my course twice which cost me approximately an additional £39. A most encouraging video thank you

Wanted to go to Vietnam, did a level 5 TEFL having confused my A-Level with Bachelor's degree... don't have a native English-speaking passport, and have no experience (have ADD as well, so...there's that); basically my plans are ruined, no internship will even bother with that kind of profile, took the course precisely for that reason, a big ball of false hopes. The course was fun though.

Hi you don't need any of those to teach in Vietnam. So your plans are not ruined. What you do need is a visa and budget to enter and job hunt, and at least 350 dollars for your school to pay a lawyer to get you a work permit.

i just asked tefl support if it's possible to work in france without a degree and they said it is extremely unlikely to obtain a work visa without a degree.

What's the main differences between the 120 HR course and the Level 5 course ? -Are they both ofqual regulated ? -Are both accessible to non graduates ? -Are the in class and online certificates different ? As in it will indicate specifically that it's an online course certificate or are the certificate the same whether completed online or in class ? If one is not able to start the level 5 immediately due to a degree request for the course is there an alternative route to the level 5 ? Noting that currently i only posses BTEC level 3 qualifications, isit possible that one can complete the 120 hrs first then progress onto level 5 as an alternative route to the level 5 ?

Both options are open to non-degree holders - no previous teaching experience or qualifications are required to enrol on either course. Upon completion of the course, you will receive both a digital and hard copy TEFL Org certificate. Your TEFL certificate includes the title of the course, number of hours of training, modules completed plus learning outcomes

@@TEFLorg Thank you for your response, I would also like to ask if ' observed teaching ' Is also part of the level 5 course since it is a requirement by some employers ? If it is isit also Included in the online version of level 5 or the combined virtual course ? Thank you

@@arrou1345 Peer-to-peer practice sessions are included in all of our combined level 5 TEFL courses (virtually or at one of our course centres). Observed teaching practice with English language learners are normally found on CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL and other full-time classroom-based courses

if you dont have bachelor in english , that course will not help you. it didnt help me, also check other ppl experience up here

What about an Associates Degree?

A Bachelors degree is the most common requirement however, it can depend on the individual school's preferences for teacher applicants (if it's not a work visa/permit requirement)

That works for buxibans in Thailand. You don't need any degree in Cambodia (officially) and Vietnam (in reality, but only if you arrive first and then look for jobs)
