Brook and His crewmates only knew the Devils fruit as "it brings a Person Back to life." So Brook didnt even think about any other Powers. I would kinda Like it If Brook could Channel the Soul of a dead Person. Kinda Like a séance.

I always imagined Brook's awakening to have some influence on his environment (like Doflamingo's awakening). Like maybe a range of like 20 meters around him would just sort of overlap with the realm of death and souls of dead people would walk by and be like "Hey, Brook, if you see my mom tell her I love her." and that stuff. Does that make sense?

The way I see it, Brook's Awakening might be him opening up the connection to the realm of the dead even more. Things don't come back to life, but...things come back. So even if they aren't revived proper, he can conduct a 1-man orchestra with the Rumbar Pirates as souls around him. A Soul King indeed.

I feel like brook could have literally been the strongest character in the show if he truly trained while he was on the boat. He literally could have trained no stop for years and years. He is already strong but imagine if he spent that whole time training

Brook knew about his fruit from the devil fruit encyclopedia, and if it mentioned the soul powers then brook would have used them earlier. But if those powers were an awakening, then it’s likely that it wouldn’t be part of the encyclopedia

The elemental powers in OP, like sanji with diable, seems like a soul ability imo. I've always hoped that he could pull different elements out through his df. He's only shown ice, but I want to see darkness(grim reaper) and fire(ghost rider). His soul ability is very similar to haki. He still has senses even though he shouldn't. It's kinda like Observation. His soul shout is similar to conquerors. Having darkness as an ability or just being able to cut souls would give him an ability similar to armament. Being able to revive others is too deus ex lol

Hey, while we're doing this how about a video on how each Straw Hat could reasonably get to Yonko Level. Now obviously, not every Straw Hat will get that far but like with this it's fun to speculate about. Luffy - Master Ryuo Haki. - Master Future Vision. - Improve on the intent detecting aspect of Haki. - Master Conquerer's Haki. - Get Garp level strength. - Awaken Devil Fruit (Whether that be 'Rubber World' or something else). Zoro - Fix his sense of direction. (A monumental task I know) - His three swords will be Shodai Kitetsu, Enma, and Wado Ichimonji. - Maybe adopt a Four Sword Style if he keeps the Nidai. - They will all be made into Black Blades. - Master Ryuo Haki. - Get Oden level strength and durability. Sanji - Possibly get Franky and Ussop to upgrade the suit. (Not sure how) - Better Armament Haki. - Get Future Vision. - Improve on the intent detecting aspect of Haki. - Get Shave and Rankyaku. (He already has Moonwalk) - Make a Fiery Rankyaku. - Improve physical strength. - Possibly get the Toge Toge no Mi. (As Tekking said, this fruit could improve so many aspects of Sanji's fighting style, especially with everything else I've added) Nami (This was a lot harder as Nami is clearly not a fighter, but I think I have something) - First, get Eneru level Observation Haki. - Second, get the Soru Soru no Mi. (Now this might seem very out there, but considering the following) - She already has ample experience using Zeus, on more than one occasion on Big Mom herself. - Big Mom is very likely to die in Wano, which would send her fruit back in circulation for Nami to eat. - Being able to create followers to attack and defend seems up her alley, and the fruit does involve the “theft” of souls. - If the personal homies have the same observation as the user, the homies could have an insane amount of sonar. - Zeus could do the same electrical sonar Eneru did. - Finally, if Nami does take a step back from direct combat, she could imbue the Climatact with a soul and have it aid her independently. - Get Ussop to work on the Sorceror's Climatact and merge it with the perfect Climatact. Brook - Awaken his devil fruit. (If he hasn't awakened again) His powers, skeleton body, and immortality are already powerful enough to make him a Yonko with enough training over enough time. Let alone him being able to make a skeleton army. - Brook doesn't age and only gets stronger with milk. Is there a limit to how strong milk can make him? If not, a high enough grade milk could make him incredibly powerful. - Train swordsmanship - Get Observation and Armament Haki. - Observation, the intent sensing kind, in particular, would help his musical powers a ton.

it could be that brook's awakening just "resets" his power in a way. by this i mean that he can revive himself again so that he would live 3 different times, and if he awakened his fruit for a second time during his third life then he can live 4 different lives, this would make it to where the user of the yomi yomi no mi could live forever depending on if they could awaken their fruit during each of their lives. thats probably not it but i believe that that would be a pretty cool power to have as an awakening and also very unique. Edit: going on with this, maybe it would be more like going up a prestige in call of duty, where maybe he unlocks a new power each time he would as long as he "re-awakened" his fruit. i think it would technically fit in with his fruit right now since we know when brook was first alive with the rumbar pirates he didnt have any powers at all other than he was going to be revived, but in this life he has his soul powers, and if he were to awaken then in his next life he would have stronger soul powers, or his regular soul powers but also new additional ones. TLDR: like i said i highly doubt that this would be his power for awakening, but i think it would be very unique and cool plus it would also mean we could get to see him singing bink's sake at the end of the story visiting the straw hat's graves.

I think Brook's Fruit allows him to not necessarily revive, but to control his own soul. An awakening for him would be, if that is the case, to influence other people's souls as he did with Big Mom's soldiers. If that's not an Awakening, it sure is close to one

I always thought that Brook's fruit worked by making the soul stronger which allowed for a 2nd chance at life at minimum and his abilities to affect the souls of others stems from that... maybe if he hasn't awakened yet, his awakening could be summoning spectral soldiers from beyond to fight

Something to consider - who's to say that the encyclopedia's definition of any devil fruit is perfect, or even accurate? Even the user likely only starts with a basic understanding of it (like Luffy with his gomu-gomu). Perhaps, rather than simple "resurrection", Brook's fruit simply gives the consumer control over their soul. That's why it seems like resurrection - the soul never actually goes to the afterlife because the user can just pilot it back to their body (and back out if they want) - thus, the consumer never actually dies. The fruit giving the user control over their soul, rather than just giving them an extra life with semi-related soul powers, makes more sense.

I feel like Brooks awakening would be very close to a poltergeist since the yomi yomi no mi is the soul fruit and an awakening is when a devil fruit ability can now affect/manipulate/transform the users surroundings, so not only he could be able to possess someone, but could manipulate objects around him, or maybe being able to damage enemies in his soul form, or even imbue the soundwaves generated by his guitar with his soul to damage enemies surrounding him instead of just putting them to sleep or creating illusions.

So, I don't know if you heard about this old Nickelodeon show called "Danny Phantom". One of the major recurring enemies is a ghost who mainly uses music with a side of fire. If she went up against Brook in a "battle of the bands" sort of clash, I could easily see that becoming a musical equivalent to Akainu vs Aokiji.

In my opinion I think to have a awakening you need to understand your own fruit to higher level, like how tekking speaks about how brook channel the power of underworld that made me thinking, wasn't brook transported to village which was trying to summon a devil to fight for them. So I think maybe he got a idea from that encounter to use the power of underworld maybe.

I wonder if it had to do with the fact that he was able to connect to a lot more people with his music. The music resonated with other people's souls which in turn resonated with Brooks' soul. This would explain why he couldn't master his powers pre-time skip. It's because he was alone that his soul couldn't react with other people's souls.

hmm, seems when they first eat the fruit they learn the basics of their fruit, focusing on training the fruit would make sense to how some awaken their powers, while those who don't focus on the fruit so much would explain why their powers stay fairly mundane. Though brook reviving the dead would be a cool DEUS EXMACHINA to act as logical plot armor for the fights to come

I always felt that because brooks physical body fully withered away and his soul possessed his bones that he was permanently stuck between life and death which is why he has access to these other abilities to don’t tie to coming back to life. Big Mom is the only one who can hypothetically kill Brook. He said on Fishman Island that he cant be killed from attacks to his bones but to only attacks to his soul. Thought that was cool af when he stood up to her in WCI.

I thought of a senario were Moria (ally to blackbeard) brings the corpses oh whitebeard, Ace and other strong pirates, and Brook to counter that, using is awakening brings their souls to fight. And can work on a "revenge" to Brook against Moria.
