The duo Shane and Ryan are the reason why people followed them from Buzzfeed. But the other guy Steven, has his own segments and one of his is just him traveling around the world and trying incredible fancy food. like 1000$ items... and giving a review. and he only gets 1/2 the viewership to Ryan and Shane. If they just cut that food travel segment, I know 1000% they would save their company. But Steven is the CEO... so he wouldn't cut that. Thank you Dr. Grande, we appreciate you!
@lozenger8
@lozenger8 19 күн бұрын
It is far more nuanced than that and everyone reducing it to 'Steven is greedy' is disconcerting. Ryan and Shane wanted Steven to be the CEO despite them all being founders because he was more business minded. I did not think Watcher went about this in the right way, the messaging was appalling, but fans reacted out of pocket, particularly towards Steven. Everyone wants a scapegoat but sometimes situations are more complicated than we would like to admit.

I saw so many people say they can tell from the look in Shane’s face that this was not his idea like wtffff 😂 it’s like they think Ryan and Shane are in a hostage situation, so weird. They chose Steven to be the ceo, blame them all.

I'm hearing more and more especially in the younger generation ( mid 30s and younger) people having trouble with empathy and ability to read facial expressions. Could this be a result of too much time on electronic devices?

Considering half of what they watch is either a lie, not even real (AI), or not a true reality scenario.....I think you may have a point!!

Yes and after spending some time with my nephews I suspect also from the preponderance of superhero type movies and shows now. Why is so little entertainment now about actual humans?

Only if people are spending all their time watching Dr. Grande videos since he has no facial expressions. But if they’re watching anyone else, they should see plenty of facial expressions and not have any trouble interpreting them

Yeah, their excuse to move off of KZfaq was complete BS from the start. They got greedy and expected their audience to follow them blindly.

Dr. Grande’s shirt makes me happy because it helps me envision him casually lounging by a pool which the image of that makes me giggle with happiness for some reason lol

Love, love, love the shirt! I never thought I'd see you covering Watcher Entertainment, and I appreciate your analysis of the situation. I've followed them since they were at Buzzfeed, and I enjoy the content that does not feature Steven Lim, but I agree that it's not "tv quality" (which they seem to define as being on par with Netflix). I fear they have alienated some of their audience and am curious to see how they will do going forward.
