In those days a gentleman didn't ask about the bathroom out-loud in mixed company. It was just the way some people were brought-up. Notice how Desi almost breaks-up. I heard in an interview years ago that the main cast weren't given prior notice of Ernie's exact lines. Made it a lot more funny.

My bf's grandma said she liked Tennessee Ernie's music. She said that when we watched I Love Lucy today when we watched Tennessee Bound.

It's funny when Ernie looks for the bathroom outside the apartment then he comes in & whispers to Ricky asking him where the bathroom is & he says through the bedroom, u mean it's in the house, wait til i write mamma about this.

They say Ernie is a boy but he is 2 yrs younger than Desi in real life since Desi was born in 1917 & Ernie was born in 1919.

This episode is only slightly more believable than the one where Ricky mistakes rodeo for radio. Sine rodeo is a Spanish he would never make that mistake. Might have thought it was Cuban style rodeo instead of western.

I love this to theres just one problem. the subway doesnt go to Long Island. You can only get there on the L.I. Railroad not the subway.

Maybe, They used a type of grest quality movie film that wad worth it 50 + years later, But great comedy can be laughed at by their own writer and they kept it in bc it worked with most of their scenes, You can often hear him lusghimg off set, When most actors probably don't bother watching others work their own scene
