No more tie rod frowny faces!
The TeraFlex HD tie rod kit is designed for extreme conditions that typically will cause factory steering components to bend and fail. The HD 1.6” O.D. 4140 heat treated chromoly tie rod is over 200% stronger than the factory tie rod! The tie rod end joint features a 4140 chromoly ball/stud and 1045 carbon steel housing. It also features adjustable preload tension to ensure proper long term durability.

Anyone know what the OEM tire-rod length is? I think i got mine right but it doesn't look like it i measured and on paper in correct but, I would like a reference point.

should ends on tie rod be threaded exactly the same length

Hi Dave, that would be correct. If you want high steer on a RHD you need the non flip and the other way around for stock setup. We stock these and will have them on our website with the description to match our RHD application. Cheers Vic

will this improve the jeeps turning circle? and if not any suggestions on how to increase the jeeps terrible turning circle. Couldn't chuck a u turn on a 4 lane highway, its shocking lmao

no, the turning circle is from the steering box. JK has a semi truck turning circle, you gotta live with that

My 2017 Jeep Wrangler Chief Edition is stock height & stock tires. I replaced the stock parts with the TeraFlex HD tie rod, drag link, track bar and steering stabilizer. I had an alignment done after the new parts were installed. Is there a break in period for the new parts?

Thanks for reaching out! Yes, when new there is a notable period of time for say the first 500 miles where the joints will progressively break in and loosen up.

So I want to order this but and it says "for jeep jk 2007-18" does that include regular jks as well as Rubicons considering regular jks have the dana 30 and the rubicon has the dana 44?

Are the ball joints on the drag link and tie rod end pressable? A mechanic told me I would have to replace the entire drag link but it looks like the ball joint can be pressed out and a new ball joint pressed in.

Yes, removing the snap ring on the top of the joint, and you can press them out. Replacement part number is 1344410.

I’m working on a 98 grand Cherokee.theres a front left and front right tie rod I orders those parts I am trying to figure out a name of the tie rod that connects the drag bar to the pitmen arm what is that tie rod called it looks like tie rod end we’re it connects to bottom of pitmen ?

Those are going to be a y-link setup most likely. Completely different then a separate tie rod and drag link. But the Drag link is the one coming from the pitman arm down to the tie rod or the passenger knuckle. depending on application.

Do these need to be greased after install?

They are greased from the factory, but you will want to great them every month or two. Adjusting the preload as the wear plate "wears" to tighten everything up occasionally as well.

Hi I have this set on my 2011 jku unlimited sport wrangler tie rod ends are worn out to the point that I can’t get an alignment from any professional 4x4 shops is there any warranty that can help me out.
