Top Moments with Time Stamps I was saved by my high school 5:35 It was a special school which allowed u to be there if u had skills. From 7th grade to senior year, I had art ability. In my household, we cannot do a lot, as mum was too religious. My schoolmates told me the films they saw. I could not see any. So I would draw these films! I wanted to watch, to be there so bad! My mum allowed comic books. I found out in therapy 6:24 my desire to be strong is that one day I may have to kill my father. He was that type of person. It was a very intense upbringing. I just wanted to be a person to keep the peace- I became a pleaser. My mum 11:18 loved entertainment. We’d watch the Carol Burnett show. Every Sat Night. I look for ways to make her laugh. In all this pain, I saw this ability to make her laugh. This is a power. This will cool things out. This was most of my existence when I was a little boy. My wife looked at me 59:00 Rebecca: ‘Terry u are different! [Terry is in tears.] After all we have been through, Terry I am with you. Thank goodness I stuck with you.’ Thank you for this lecture!

@@user-sv9tf9yx3t I totally agree !!! It would be wonderful to see this kind of transparency brought to "our" high school kids !!! And I'm sure there are many avenues that our cities/states could get speakers, etc to men in therapy with a very low cost. You don’t get interviews like this unless your guest feels incredibly comfortable and at ease. Terry is able to be this authentic because that’s what Stephen calls forth in people. What an incredible gift Stephen is to the world, very few people can hold a safe space allowing people to be this vulnerable. It’s a testament to something Stephen brings of himself to these interviews that calls forth truth, quite possibly because Stephen has done his own work, resulting in the most heartfelt interviews I’ve ever heard. These interviews will save lives. Thank you so much. Just incredible and yes I’m in tears. 😊 X

So brave to really open up. Porn addiction is something that isn't talked about enough and effects too many people. Great podcast as usual, really deep and authentic!!

Wow wow wow! This has given me a whole new look into Hollywood, actors and Terry Crews himself. He is the most humble, self aware and inspiring people I have ever listened too. His life story is full of trauma, love and revelations. There is no better platform that this for him to share his story! The way he was allowed to just speak and go with his own thoughts was truly awe inspiring. He is officially in my list of people I would love to just sit down with and talk. The best video I’ve seen in a while. Thank you for sharing everything with us!

This is real. This is the content I like to see rather than money making bullshxt. People suffering out there and this content is so important. Nothing but admiration and respect for Terry speaking. That statement at the end "when i learned to be chris rock" wow - what an absolute legend terry is

This was absolutely phenomenal. One of the best interview/podcasts. I just started seeing a therapist at the end of January and I've got a long road ahead of me. It's hard to feel okay when you live with the shame and guilt put on you by your abusive childhood. I am not okay and that's okay. It's wanting to eventually be okay and working towards waking up and *wanting* to still be here. I have a lot of mixed feelings about the Will Smith situation and Terry Crews having to witness so much abuse as a child is terrible and sad and not at all fair to him, as a child. As a victim of abuse from a parent, I cannot confirm it gets better. It made my life a lot harder and relationships even harder. I want to know when seeing a therapist starts to show results but I don't have those answers. I don't think Terry will see this comment but I really hope that if he does, he knows that he's an inspiration to me. I want to stop being so angry inside. So badly, I want to stop being so angry. But it's hard when you never feel like you're the one living in the shoes you're wearing. I loved this podcast. It was so well presented. Much love to Terry and his family as well as the host.

I never even paused or took my eyes off of this video. Absolutely incredible and vulnerable and packed with growth and goodness. As he said necessary. Just necessary. I pray for healing of this world. Our roots run deeper than just now. Cycles work, until they don't. Break your cycle, even if all your doing is carrying someone else's trauma as your own.

Mad respect to him for opening up in such a way and not holding back. And mad respect to Steven for having Terry on and giving him the freedom and room to speak his full piece. Wicked interview. I can relate to Terry on so many levels. Born in 86 and not much was changed back then. My mother did the same thing with the public hair and demanded to see my body and touch my body to see if it was growing (in puberty). I loved White Chicks - it was one of my fav movies as a teen and loved Terry in it - and then Brooklyn 99 was one of my favs - I love seeing happy and fun Terry - but I love and appreciate even more the raw and truthful Terry who tells it how it is and is making changes for other men and people to be better and do better.

The amount of honesty, vulnerability and willingness to break one’s ego and be truthful not with anyone else, but with oneself is something 99 percent of the population will never do, far less someone in a position of power like Terry. This has truely inspired me to seek therapy for my own skeletons. To look at them in the face instead of hiding them deeper. I respect and admire this man for him allowing the world in, and for the self reflection he has done.
