Starting at $60,990, Tesla's Cybertruck is priced 50% higher than initial estimate. Tesla's long-delayed Cybertruck will be priced starting at $60,990, over 50% more than what CEO Elon Musk had touted in 2019 and a cost analysts have said will draw select, affluent buyers.
🚙How much can a Cybertruck go?
While battery capacity isn't disclosed, the company says it's good for 320 miles per charge. However, you can opt for an additional battery pack that sits in the bed to crank that range to 440 miles per charge. This powerful truck can spring to 60 in only 2.6 seconds and hits a max speed of 130 mph.
🚙Is the Cybertruck available in Europe?
Tesla's Vice President of Vehicle Engineering, confirmed for TopGear Netherlands that the Cybertruck will likely never make it to Europe.

While I like the videos of the factory, there are a fair amount of errors in the narration. “The Cybertruck is their first high voltage vehicle”… then immediately about the battery. This shows a lack of understanding. Don’t mix up the vehicle low voltage control system at 48V with the 800V battery architecture. They are unrelated. The 48V system is the vehicles low voltage system and should not be called high voltage. “Shatterproof and bulletproof front glass” is completely inaccurate. “Severe movement of rear axle in crash test is concerning”… that’s just the rear wheel steering system giving way, there is no solid axle between the two wheels and it’s not “concerning”. There are more errors… still I didn’t want to give the video a thumbs down but things should be better researched.

The blonde looked a little too perfect so I took a screenshot and did a quick reverse image search. It’s from a promo for an Audi factory. If you look closely you can see the logo on her sleeve blurred out. As common as fake videos are now I can only imagine how bad it’ll be once AI can just make them from scratch.

You need to make a correction at 26 seconds of video. The windshield isn't bullet proof. It is strong enough get stand projectiles coming in at 85mph. Like in a hurricane category 4.

The Cybertruck rear-wheel steering likely attributes to the the rear wheel movement during crash.

No wonder it's taking so long to ramp up production on the Cyber Truck. They use robots to install the CPM module, all glass, all the seats, and the wheels/tires. It takes a ridiculous amount of work to get the programs on those robots correct so they can run at least close to world class OEE(85%). Someone still has to go in after the seats and cockpit module to bolt them in, not to mention it's faster if people do it with assist devices mounted on lineside overhead rails. 2k vehicles a week? The auto plant I worked at would drive a completed vehicle off the line every 56 seconds. We would produce over 2k vehicles in less than 4 eight hour shifts.

The only crash tests that count are those done by independent test houses. Anything that Tesla does itself is worth jack. The windscreen obviously isn't the largest one in the automotive industry, which would be obvious to anyone that's travelled on a coach

iPhones are also most expensive when brand new. They're getting back some of their money from all the hype! Smart! The cost of tooling is crazy! Being a Tool & Die Maker, even some small Dies that I built were hundreds of thousands of dollars. They also had to spend on design and new technology. Eventually you can order one for less. While I don't want one, it'll be very cool to see one driving around! I'm happy for Elon, he risked everything that he had to make Tesla survive instead of retiring like a King and living free anywhere he chooses. His success is well deserved! All those who make their living through Tesla and those who benefit from the employees spending their earnings on houses, stores, theaters etc... would not have those things had Elon chose to retire.

3:23, robot accuracy is really 0.2mm? That doesnt sound too accurate. I wonder if this applies to complaints of sloppy fit and finish. A .2mm inaccuracy at one point could spread across the body and compound to larger inaccuracies at other end of body.

Generally, 0.2mm is not a problem for the robots. For the robot welders, every part is clamped in a automated jig before being welded, so the parts come out the same dimension every time. Most inconsistencies I see on TSLAs are body panel misalignments, which is more due to inconsistencies in the body panels themselves than the robots. The other stuff the robot is doing: seats, glass, cockpit module, tire/wheels, 0.2mm doesn't matter. You would have more than 0.2mm of error doing it by hand.

What you said that the front which windshield at the beginning was “bulletproof“? Can we see some data on that claim of yours. And it seems it is your claim alone. Some of the footage you pilfered is not from Austin, Texas giga factory. I guess that comes from not knowing a model S from a model Y?
