Thanks for coming on @RichRebuilds and sharing, based on his several run ins with Tesla, why he's certain they will go after Cybertruck flippers.

As someone who’s lived in Kansas and currently lives in Missouri, you’re better off pretty much anywhere else. lol There’s a reason it’s so cheap up here. They make up for it with taxes.

Have you spent much time in Kansas? There are reasons that farms in Kansas cost the same as a West Coast condo. Funny thing about real estate is that prices match demand. If Wichita was so great why has the population only been growing at 1%/yr...go figure

I live in a very rural part of the Sacramento area in the Sierra Nevada Mtns, and have now seen 3 Cybertrucks in the wild. Two where I live and one in Sacto. After watching Camissa, Throttle House, and a few other videos on them, I thought they were going to seem massive and ridiculous. However, as a bona fide self admitted Tesla hating muscle car and sporty car guy, they're frigging cool looking and certainly haven't struck me as overly large or ridiculous. Haven't had a chance to walk around one or lay hands on it, so to speak, but I'm impressed with the presence of them. They just grab your attention because of the sheer audacity and uniqueness of their design and materials. The only thing I can compare them to seeing for sheer neck wrenching reactions is the DeLorean. Oddly, also in kitchen appliance stainless steel...

People are flipping Cybertrucks?? And other people are buying them?? They're buying them at inflated prices?? Edit: I apologise, I don't live in the USA, and the Cybertruck appears to be a morbidly obese novelty joke incapable of towing a shopping cart with the added bonus of a ridiculously reduced range. They're not sold in my country, and probably never will be.

The Cybertruck is just silly. I saw it close up at the Cleveland Auto Show. It looks like a cartoon and no serious truck customer who actually does truck things for a living will ever buy an electric truck. I can see Tom Silva falling on his ass laughing right now if Kevin O’Connor showed up to the job site in a Cybertruck 😂
@AceEverett3 ай бұрын
I would possibly buy an electric 3/4 or 1 ton. 99% of my work is less than 100 miles a day. Battery tech just isn't there yet.

Agreed though the cybertruck just looks like shit and the bed isn't anywhere near as useful either. The people buying them just want the attention from owning a big, ugly monstrosity.

Rich is spot on about electric obsolescence…..i would add that if you just use it to drive to the grocery store etc. and have a “real” car for driving, they might be fine especially if charged from home, but you have to go in to it knowing that it could brick itself as the tech ages.

EV's can economically never surplant ICE because the cost to build adequate charging stations for Condo and apartments dwelling people can economically never happen. It would cost more than the total World Gross Product Capabilities. So Rich is correct in his statement that those who can will buy EV's. But hybrid vehicles will fill in the criteria for the millions who will never have a home charging station. Also Rich, great point on immediate obsolescence. Software and electronics are not easily backwards compatible. Phones and laptops are good examples.. Fun and informative interview. I'm back to being a Rich Rebuilds fan. As long as he doesn't insult us poor lowly 6 figures income folk who only make real tangible products for like planes and ships or cars. A lowly lot compared to KZfaq celebrities I know but... Blue collar lives matter. Just humor back... don't take it seriously...
