This is a very well equipped car for only 15,000 dollars, I think I'm going to go with the SEL trim

You dont lol. The 2.0l is the slowest car ever! I have one of the older ones. Fuel mileage between 2.0l and 2.5l is almost the same as well.

Try new Golf before getting into the new Jetta and you would know what you are missing and why does a Golf cost more than a Jetta.

MK6 Jetta is a little cheaper than the previous gen jetta because its very cheaply built ie: cheap material and built quality and cost saving techniques. New Jetta Driver's Reject
