I think i love this aircraft. As a dedicated A-10 pilot I see myself spending an unhealthy amount of time flying this.

A tutorial on radar interpretation would be greatly appreciated. Things such as how to pick out things like ships, targets or terrain amidst all the other noise.

Thank you for doing these, they're great! A few things I noticed (not to be taken as criticism, just things I saw with the benefit of watching from my chair with no stress at all): - not sure if it was intentional but you had the 15.5 degree alpha mode engaged during the landing (red light just under the autopilot buttons) so you might've been going slower than expected - Leatherneck's manual is indeed missing an engine shutdown step but is otherwise pretty much to the procedure on the real aircraft. On the real aircraft it goes ejection seat safe (you forgot this but it's behind your head so it's no wonder) - AFK off - generator off - throttle to cutoff - avionics off - oxygen off - low pressure fuel off - canopy open. On the real aircraft you are apparently supposed to turn generator back on afterwards but well, I dunno.

Actually, the 15.5 deg setting was not engaged. There is a separate light in the button that illuminates when it is pressed. As for the rest, that sounds like the same procedure I came up with afterwards with pulling the throttle to cut-off first then turning off the fuel pump. The only thing that still seems out of place is shutting down the engine and therefore the generator before shutting down whatever avionics are still on. That is generally an awkward thing to do to the battery. I don't doubt that is the procedure, it just isn't what I would do at first glance speaking as an ex-electrical engineer and aircraft maintainer. That is one of the main reasons I have hobbies like this, to see how other nations and aircraft manufacturers approach system design. It will be interesting to dig through the schematics and make sense why shutdown is sequenced that way.

Bunyap Sims Man, now I feel like an ass. Apologies if I came off as douche-y. Reading the manual back and forth is no substitute for actually working the cockpit and I should keep that in mind. Again, love these videos - keep up the good work!

Look upon my crime against sensible graphics design, ye mighty, and despair: i.imgur.com/4JAgerJ.png It is not at all obvious from the diagram, but turning off generator power (or losing it in some other way) also automatically switches off _all_ secondary bus relays, both AC and DC. If a generator fault happens in the air, the RAT/emergency generator pops out and when it's started to deliver usable power some of them turn back on again automatically. (Disclaimer: definitely not an engineer here, may have misunderstood or mistranslated all kinds of things. Learning more about this is awesome though)

Bunyap, I don't understand how you're getting this framerate. I have the exact same specs as you, except for 1070 instad of 980ti, and I'm constantly getting these random drops in fps. What settings are you running?

Framerate all comes down to the individual mission. I build my own for this sort of thing and am very, very careful to pick the right spot on the map and keep unit counts to a minimum. I will have to turn down the settings a bit when I start flying more complex missions.
