Testing EHS Tuner & Air Box Mod on 2022 Grizzly

Went for a good rip at the land with my 2022 Grizzly after I installed the EHS fuel programmer and air box mod just to make sure it doesn't skip a beat. Pulled hard through the entire power band and popped wheelie's easier then ever. So far so good with the money spent. Also, the exhaust seemed to run way cooler also.

I put the EHS tuner on my 2021 grizzly and the 2021 kodiak 700 of the wives... they both turned into complete dogs instantly. Emailed Eric he said set as recommended... lol. Big help. From what I've read on Grizzly Central people with the newer grizzly say they don't help with stock exhaust. Others said you have to set the numbers lower than on the instructions. I tried messing with them for 2 weeks and took them off and they run great again... lol

After I put it on I noticed it ran cooler and a bit more responsive… but it does stutter once in a great while upon acceleration.. now I have the tip on and it seemed to get just a little worse but still not bad.. I’m playing with adjustments right now to see if I can get it better.. but everything I’m saying is not a problem by any means just one of those things I’m going to try fine tuning

@grizzlygreg8922 From what a few members on Grizzly Central said the lower the number the better. Like 1.5 on the 1st one . This summer I might try some lower settings but for now it runs cooler with the AIS plugged. The tuner on ours just made them really rich and sputter. Stock they rip just fine with no popping or backfiring.

Yea so that’s what I read also, setting the green lower is my first step.. I might tough the yellow a half point based on what the setting recommendations say in EHS guide. I’m hoping to get it fine tuned a bit better

I did the “Big 3” Barker dual muffler full exhaust with EHS fuel controller and air box mod and imo, it did squat except make my 2023 Grizzly obnoxiously loud and backfire and decel pop on pretty much every throttle chop. And I messed with settings and pretty much nothing. Waste of cash imo unless you dyno it and actually watch the a/f mixtures etc. I just went back to stock and it runs great. And yes I plugged the AIS too and it did nothing.

I read a lot of comments and reviews on all kinds of pages out there on the interweb and your not the only one to say that exact thing. The real test will be this weekend when I put 75 miles on it in a day.

Do you mind me asking what your settings are? I have a 2021 SE with the same setup with the only difference being the 2R tip. I find I’m running a little bit rich at the recommended settings for this setup. It’s nice to compare notes with someone else! Cheers!

I’m running 3-2.5-2, I’m about 800-1000 ft elevation

Zero plans to snorkel it at this point. Going to keep it as my trail and hunting machine. I still have my 2012 Blue one for the deep stuff!

I have a 2020 Grizzly EPS 700. How much of an improvement did you notice? I was thinking about doing thte airbox/Fuel programmer/HMF Exhaust Mod sooon

Also, make sure you block off the AIS also.. power gain is minimal, so don’t go into it thinking you getting 20 HP gain lol.. I did the air box mod because it’s a way better design than Yamaha’s slide fit. Fuel programmer to help it run cooler and get a tad more power.. I have noticed my Grizzly running way cooler which keeps my left leg from burning up lol. Any other questions you got ask away!!
