This Nintendo Direct managed to do the IMPOSSIBLE many times. Mario & Luigi returning, Metroid Prime 4 FINALLY being fully revealed, and Zelda getting her own game. Easily the BEST final year for a console I've ever seen.

Love the new 2D Zelda, that echo mechanic is just crazy... every new echo will aid in progression in some way with new gameplay and there's a ton of them! I want that new Hyrule Edition Zelda-themed Switch Lite as well! And Metroid Prime 4: BEYOND looks incredible, Retro Studios is pushing the Switch to it's absolute limits... there is so much more going on in the environments in comparison to the previous games...explosions going off in the b.g... improved space pirates enemy A.I, new scanning, new real time lighting effects on the morph ball animation, etc... imagine what the Switch 2 version is going to look like..

That was some good ass Direct-ing. This next few months are about to ruin my wallet

MVC2 let's freaking go so glad it's available again not to mention the entire collection (a shame it's not going to on Xbox), Lego Horizon Adventures, Ace Attorney Investigations, Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, DK Country Returns HD and ofc Metriod Prime 4 BEYOND. A solid B mostly due to MVC2.

This was such a great surprise this morning! The Mario and Luigi Brothership game, Zelda finally having her own game, and METROID PRIME 4!!! The switch is going out with a bang!

I think the Direct was quite good, but I'll be honest... I'm starting to hope they continue remastering older NES and Super NES games like they did Link's Awakening and Mario RPG. Specifically: Super MaIo Bros. 3 & World and DKC1-3. Maybe A Link to the Past (but allow us to use the d-pad, damn it!). They're focusing heavily on remaking Wii U era games, and that's great, but I'd like to see them revi&it the classics that I was playing when I was growing up.

But that announcement shocked so many people around the world! The fact that that was in a Nintendo Direct is insane and made it that much more special cuz it wasn't expected! That bring said holy crap man... so many good game announcements!! 🤯😁

Getting the highest grades I’ve ever seen in Spawnwave’s post direct poll. About the closest I’ve seen to a negative grade is RGT. He got two cat games and two farming rpgs, not sure what else he wanted.

I asked myself why Switch would still have so many games at this point and an answer hit me: Switch 2 will be either be backwards-compatible or will have some kind of virtual machine.

I feel like Metroid is what Halo should have, and needs to be nowadays. I can definitely see the series gaining traction since the series revitalization on Nintendo Switch. Just watch and see yall.

The controversy around DKC Returns HD has been baffling to me. So what if it's a port? If has the best qualities of the Wii original and the 3DS version without the weaknesses of either. Sure, a new game would be better, but this is really the best we can hope for Donkey Kong right now.

Non Nintendo JRPGs 👀, Josie: Filler But I like how it shows how varied the direct was, most of the big announcements for me weren't big for you and vice versa and that's what makes directs special imo. There's something for everyone, and that's why imo this was an S tier direct.

Direct was RPG heavy, but something for everyone overall. Love that DKCR is coming to Switch, but it shoulda been shadow-dropped for bigger effect. Surprised that Metroid 4 footage was shown; where is 2&3? Brothership looks okay, but Zelda Echoes stole the show. I think it will grow on ppl. Lego HZD looks cool, but i hope it runs well enough.

I'm torn on that Prime 4 trailer. On one hand, it looks pretty cool. On the other hand, parts of it look super jank like it's a fan trailer. Still excited for the game no matter what

13:01 Hah central time zone is best. I slept in till 7. Left my house at 8 and got my 17 mile bike ride in during the stream. And got back in time to watch the Prime 4 trailer which was the main highlight for me

The Switch fanbase is so diverse, if they think this Direct was mid or underwhelming... this was a 10/10 for me
