Ocarina of Time on 3DS was pretty good. I can’t imagine playing the N64 version. It aged so poorly.

Just started playing last night and already hooked!!!

I still have yet to play Dread. I think my biggest hesitation has always been how relatively drab, sterile and colorless the world design comes across in the various trailers and game play clips that I've seen. Part of what I loved about Super Metroid and Metroid Prime was the vibrant, colorful setting full of weird aliens, swamps, volcanoes, etc. On a surface read, Dread's environments look so flat and mechanical by comparison and I have to admit that it is one of the factors that kept me from jumping in right away. But everyone I hear talk about it says the game play is absolutely fantastic, so I'll have to give it a shot. Thank you for giving Super Metroid a chance. It is both my favorite Metroid game and one of my favorite games period. You're right about the SNES generation being the one that has aged the best graphically. Graphical fidelity had advanced enough to let designers create truly evocative characters and worlds, creating the peak of 2D pixel art before the clumsy first steps into the world of 3D gaming that would take another decade to polish up.

I mean the game is from 1986 so yeah the game suks compared with today's games but when it came out that shit was amazing plus super hard, try to play Spiderman & Venom Maximum Carnage on the Snes 😂

I think it just got so thoroughly one-upped by Super that it makes it feel kind of obsolete. I'd love to learn to appreciate it as it is, though.

The original DKC 1-3 (and Zelda, Earthbound and Mario RPG) were my life back in the mid nineties. I probably replayed each one like 8-10 times. I desperately wanted a DKC4 back in the day. Instead I got DK64.

The original manual said if you didn't finish DKC1 with 50 lives it means you suck lol

Items on is only fun to me in Smash 64. My Smash Ultimate characters are Snake, Banjo, Cloud, Megaman, Hero well over 200 hrs 🤓🙃

Absolutely adored this game when it came out. One of the best games on Wii U and one of the best platformers ever. The visuals, the music and the level designs all come together so beautifully.

I finished the game when I was 7 (1991), drawing my own maps, with no save states. Knowing that Samus was a woman too, made me very happy. Youths from today wouldn't survive a day in the 80's and 90's.

I recently played Wii Sports Resort on my new TV, it surprisingly still holds up to this day. My only complaints were that the Wiimote's tracking is pretty terrible by today's standards, and even with MotionPlus the remote sometimes messes up and thinks I'm not hitting it straight during golf.

I actually replayed it like 2-3 weeks ago and spent a WHOLE week playing it and all the secret levels and my God this game is fantastic

Graphics aren’t good. These would have been acceptable back in like 2007. Nintendo has given up, unfortunately.

Not a bad take. Ocarina of Time is super dated. I didn't like it as much as the other Zelda games. Majora's mask for me is b tier. I think it held up better and it has a better 3d remake as far as graphics are concerned. Source: 21yo who isn't nostalgia blinded

Wii bowling is easily the best bowling game ever made honestly as someone who used to bowl alot in real life I can easily confirm that. Then M$ and Sony copied nintendo with their own versions of Wii Sports but didn't do nearly as well and wasn't as good as Wii Sports.

Wii Sports is such a fun time. Yeah if it's the only game you have then it's boring. But popping it in every now and then is fun. It's great for kids too. Teaches them the basics of 5 sports and how they work. I've been playing it a lot with my niece and nephews recently, and they love it. Ngl, I got beat at bowling by a 7 year old, twice, and I'm 21
