David Phelps is a gift from God. His amazing voice has got me through many tough times. You feel the hand of God upon you when David sings. You need to hear more of his songs. He can sing anything. My favourite is no more night, also Gentle Saviour. He is a very well known gospel singer.

You are hearing one of the best tenors ever in David Phelps! He was part of the Christian group, The Gaither Vocal Band! He was with them for awhile then he did some solo work! David is classically trained and is one of the best tenors on the planet hands down. He is huge in the gospel community and was a member of the Gaither Vocal Band for many years. He does a killer cover of Whitney's "I Have Nothing" as you can see in other comments. He sings his own amazing version of Nessun Dorma and Ava Maria. He has a new album out with some great music on it, "Hello Beautiful", I Remember What We Thought Love Was", "Song For Sinners". Then he has a plethora of classics like "No More Night", "End of the Beginning", and one of my favorites of his, "Just As I Am". The passion he sings with and his vocal ability are, in my opinion, unmatched. He is definitely another rabbit hole artist.

Whitney Houston was actually a fan of David's and considered him one of the best male vocalist alive, in return David was and is a big Whitney Houston fan himself and that is one of the reasons he performed her song I Have Nothing this past year. He is now 52yrs old and sings as well as ever, with 25 years worth of songs that can be found on youtube. He is also a brilliant song composer and arranger and though he will never admit it a great musician in his own right.

Our sweet, incredible David! The piano player is Anthony Burger. He died during a Gaither Concert of a massive heart attack at the age of 44. We miss him so much! His music awards are amazing! Be sure and listen to David with the Gaither Vocal Band. He does some songs that will give you chills!

He is one of the best Gospel singers ever. I have been listening to him for over 15 years . He sings on the Gospel channel with Bill and Gloria Gaither show .

David joined The Gaither Band just prior to this performance...It's a huge Gospel Group. OMGosh. I've been listening to David Phelps for years. He always gives me chills. I encourage you to listen to "No More Tears". I hope it's not sacrilegious but I had it playing 4 days ago when I had to have my precious, sweet angel dog put to sleep. With tears streaming down my face, a small Christmas tree with lights, and lit candles, David Phelps sang "no more pain". My sweet Lola baby peacefully transitioned to her next life. No more pain for my lively pup, but for me, I'm shattered. Phelps helps remind me that God promises "no more pain".

Piano playing is flawless. The great late Anthony Berger. Sadly he died during a Gaither concert. So young. Sad. But he’s playing piano for those in heaven. Amen

He is the greatest tenor I have ever heard. Listen to "No more night". It will blow your mind. Every note and word he sings comes straight from the heart in order to bring God glory. Even non-Christians can listen to this version of O Holy Night and be moved by the power of David's amazing voice.
