Sadly, even organic produce isn't enough. If it isn't in the soil, it doesn't end up in the plants. The nutrient density of most mainstream food crops - spinach, for instance - has declined over 60%. So organic avoids pesticides and obesogens, but to get real nutrition, you need food grown in rich alluvial or volcanic soil (or need to learn how to supplement your garden soil to equal rich soils). To feed our bodies, we need to supplement the soil, not just ourselves!

We have numerous strategies for lowering blood sugar, including variations of fasting, ketogenic diets, carnivore, etc. With the advent of low-cost glucose meters and especially CGM, has anyone tried the following? Only eat when your glucose is below some threshold, say 80 mg/dL. I'm wondering if such a strategy could actually "teach" the body to handle glucose better simply by rewarding it with food when it does so.

In regards to burning through those vitamins or minerals YES as someone with high levels of stress since childhood I am now realizing my low magnesium n potassium level all along. Please do more research on this and go deeper into it on another video, thx.

Few people like liver, I don't eat liver plain but I can enjoy liverwurst and pate. You might be able to take liver capsules. They stink but you don't have to taste it.

Fear mongering is not good. Not enough in what a person usually has large contacts daily. Studies show what you want. I believe a little what you say but I am skinny and use all this daily. Calories in vs calories out. Eat veggies and protein

No one is wondering how to lose weight. What we don't know is how to keep it off. That is because all western medicine is focused on, is the surface behaviours. We need to understand the emotional impact of over eating, and what drives us to do so in the first place..

You can't say no one's wondering how to lose weight a major majority are wondering and when you have issues with your microbiome mitochondria you're not producing energy you're not utilizing it a lot of times if you have toxicity or there's been such a long time with the wrong habits your cellular function is disrupted so you're not receiving the signals for your leptin to make you feel full you don't have energy your fatigued because your cells aren't receiving what they need there's a hormone imbalance because of that there's many factors that people struggle with losing weight and yes ultimately keeping it off once they do but you can't say that nobody is wondering how to lose weight because most people are they don't know what steps to take in the first place to begin removing the toxic load so they can even begin to feel better so they even have the will and desire to get up and exercise or to resist that food that is causing the dysfunction or the systemic inflammation so I'm not sure how you can even say what you're saying maybe you're not a person who struggles with that but I have been my whole life along with many people I know who try really hard and do not lose weight easily or quickly so please stop bashing a wonderful Doctor Who has helped many many people. Do you have solutions to offer or a dialogue that's open-ended like Dr Hyman offers all of the time

You might try watching Dr. Robert Cywes videos. He’s a bariatric surgeon who deals with patient’s relationships with food first then promotes a ketogenic lifestyle to maintain lifelong metabolic health.

@@tracirobertson9343 there's definitely a place for ketogenic I believe but at the same time it's about understanding clean healthy fats and the proper omega-3/6 balance or ratio getting rid of hydrogenated oils and eating grass-fed, pasture raised fats and healthy oils like Coconut, Olive, Sesame... you can't just eat bacon and cheese and steaks and think that that's going to help you because that's not true and originally the ketogenic diet was created for epileptics where they would give them such a high amount of healthy fats that would help the epilepsy and throughout time it has been bastardized and capitalized on like most of our food and the relationship and knowledge of these things have been confused and construed for selfish motives and shareholder profits so when depending on a ketogenic mindset you must consider the quality that you are consuming. There is still a toxicity that needs to be addressed making sure your filters are clean as you start to lose weight and burn fat you're releasing toxins into the bloodstream and they need to be able to be filtered out. As well as proper nutrients like phytochemicals antioxidants things that can bind to those toxins and remove them from the system and that's why healthy ratios of raw and lightly cooked vegetables and fruits are so important as well as clean water spring water distilled water that can help bind to those toxins as well as flushing the system and helping assimilate those nutrients because you're not what you consume you are what you absorb. Dr Hyman has a book "Eat Fat, Get Thin" that breaks all of that down and even tells you what vitamins and minerals to take in what form and the amounts on a daily basis.

Stop saying you can't lose weight, just stop it. This is silly. Research is clear, people can lose weight, but they can't keep it off,period. This is a false dilemma and I'm calling you out.

You don't know, people try everything and still have stubborn fat that they can't lose there is a certain amount of weight that you can lose off the top but when it comes to actually obtaining true health and vitality the proper BMI without absolute exertion or mental breakdown. There are a lot of inner issues that aren't resolved just through exercise and diet yes a majority are but then there is a percentage that have to do with the toxicity, microbiome dysfunction, dysbiosis, the actual gut lining integrity. There are many variables not only to losing the amount of weight that is actually desired but also with gaining weight getting to the proper BMI for that individual sometimes does take fine-tuning so I'm not sure what you are calling him out on let alone the credentials you have to be able to even do so?
