I would have added Rick Barry there. 34.7 ppg and led the Warriors to the finals, where he averaged 40 ppg and scored 55 points in one of those games. At 23 years old.

It's just shows that the results wasn't legits. It's all about the story.. example Rose faced harder competition compared to Young and Luca. Young ranks higher but Luca faced harder competition more like that. Jordan and Pippen Facing Barkley Is not as impressive when Lebron Faced ,4 all-star GSW.

1:36 David Robinson led the Spurs to, what was at the time, the greatest turnaround season in NBA history. Just like what Steve Nash was able to do with the Suns, it is amazing how one player can turnaround a losing franchise in only one season.

Trae’s first playoffs last year was electric. It set the stage for the success he would have this year in the playoffs. No one expected the hawks to even sniff the playoffs let alone make it to the ECF after the start that they had. And I don’t think much needs to be said about Booker. We all knew he was a superstar and we knew he would perform in the playoffs and he did that by far.
@dmking26

Trae shot 41% FG & 31% 3P in the playoffs & was hot garbage in elimination games. Not to mention the Hawks had their biggest margin of victory in the game he was out. People give him way too much credit for the Hawks success.

@@dmking26 yea but that efficiency drop comes from a combo of playoff defense being a lot better and he basically is the whole engine of that offense. Everything runs through him and he won against the 4 and 1 seed and took the champs to 6 games. Also had a PER of 21 and a ts% 55, those aren’t crazy stats but makes the 41/31 split look a lot better. Overall very impressive he could beat teams when his team was less talented (Knicks not so much but u get the point lol)

As someone who has watched since the 80s, I agree with you. Young players are given both the opportunity AND the green light in ways that weren’t available as often before with old school coaches. Only the “greats” back then (for the young players) even had a chance of express themselves.
@august6281

yes, and young stars today were given the key to lead the team almost on their sophomore year. In older era, veteran or even coaches would not let that happen
@henny6566
@henny6566 2 жыл бұрын
@@sirbradfordofhousejones It's like that in all of sports now. QB's had to sit for 2 or 3 years and learn the offense before they got the starting job. Now rookie QB's are thrown in there right away. Baseball players had to sit in the minors for 4 or 5 years to develop. Now they're called up at like 19 and 20 and put right in the starting lineup.
