Basically what I understand is that brothers were talking about pedos being homed in an estate of their own or and island. While they are talking about this and about how it should be surrounded with electric fences etc. The mum and step dad are sat on the couch quietly not saying a word just looking sheepish.

The whole "poverty porn" thing is so fucked up to me, as an American. Like, I know how bad we are when it comes to social class, but I couldn't imagine gawking at them, especially how so many of us are on the brink at any time.
@BF-li8pv
@BF-li8pv 3 жыл бұрын
I mean, I think some reality programming in the US is along similar lines- it just tends toward a focus on mental (and occasionally physical) illness that coexists with poverty. Like a lot of TLC's my strange addiction, my 600 pound life, hoarders style programming. Doesn't make it any less surreal when you watch a bunch of social issues documentaries and KZfaq recommends you toward poverty porn stuff though! Like... this is literally someone going to the grocery store... this is a bunch of kids trying to get ready for school in a small home, obviously it's noisy/messy...
@BF-li8pv

When i was 3, I went missing for an hour or two Apparently my mother was frantic, she had the next door neighbour's looking all around the estate, she was cycling around the entire estate while she had my brother and sister with another neighbour. She was frantic but determined. Turns out I had fallen asleep in the cupboard under the stairs as it was warm but that reaction compared to this mother's... Complete opposite ends of the spectrum. I hope Shannon is doing well now

I went missing once for a few hours too lol. I think I was three also, my parents has my uncle over and they were talking to him and I was trying to get my mom's attention because I wanted to play hide and seek. They didn't hear me but I apparently didn't notice and went to hide. My parents searched all over the house, the entire neighborhood, they called my uncle to ask if I got in the back of his truck and nobody noticed, and they were calling neighbors since I had friends next door that I'd play with sometimes. They couldn't find me at all. My dad insisted on checking all of the hiding places in the house over again and this time they went into my room and checked under the bed and saw nothing but extra blankets and stuffed animals that I had stuffed under there. Apparently I'd fallen asleep and tried to roll over because they saw movement and that was the only reason they found me. My mom was crying and was panicking and my dad was super worried and had been trying to keep it together for my mom but he kinda broke down when they found me. My mom said that she was so mad and happy at the same time when they finally found me lol

People who use benefits to help feed, house, or medicate their families already get looked at as if they're all lazy and worthless. Most of them work & some work multiple jobs, yet it's still not enough & they just need some help. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's people like Karen, who purposely pop out tons of kids & refuse to work, just to get benefits, that reenforce the poor view people have of those on benefits.

I've always worked and so has he. The only people they will give food stamps to in Tennessee is people who DON'T WORK AT ALL and most of them never have. So no not most people that draws any kind of benefits are working people. At least not in Tennessee. A lot of people who draw checks here have never worked and never will, whether there's anything disabling them are not. It's us taxpayers who can't get any help. I don’t like the negativity around benefits. My mum claims them and she’s NOT allowed to work because she’s not well mentally. She struggles with day to day life but she still tries her best to keep us happy and healthy. It’s not fair with the stigma around benefits. It’s really annoying and upsetting. This is quite a small thing, but the little disclaimers you do at the beginning of these videos is really nice, and proves the amount of respect you have for the people involved. A good friend of mine lost a close family member to a violent crime and the way some people were so rude, nosy and disrespectful about it really annoyed me. The amount of respect you show really means a lot, and you seem to a be a very lovely, intelligent person. Keep up the good work!

Growing up on a council estate, we also grew up around A LOT of pedos, every time one was moved onto the street any houses with small children would have to be informed, and it happened alarmingly frequently. max sanderson I believe the point she’s making is, the McCanns got sympathy based solely on their social status and professional titles. What they did was just as bad as this yet they were afforded sympathy, empathy and millions of pounds to search for their daughter who is missing due to their own ineptitude and lack of proper care for her wellbeing. As opposed to the blame being immediately laid upon Karen Matthews and rightly so, however totally diametric responses.

This case annoys me so much. Myself and my mum, were some of the ones out searching for Shannon, as we lived in Mirfield and it's only a few miles away, for it all to be a sham. And what also made me furious was that Karen and her friends were in Asda and the manager gave them £100's of pounds worth of free shopping, as they felt bad for her. She sponged off pretty much anyone that was willing to help her.

No, she didn’t. She has a new identity and I believe is under some sort of legal constraint where she isn’t allowed to speak publicly and reveal her new identity. I’m not so sure how the laws about that work but I believe while she is *allowed* to speak out, her new identity and privacy would be forfeit so she would have to choose between her safety and privacy and speaking out. Which is likely why she never has and probably never will. She would be about 24 years old now.

Can you cover Hayley Dodd? She went missing in 1999 at age 17. I know of her family and a man was charged this year with her murder but will not say where her body is so a law has been passed 'No Body, No Parole' also known as 'Hayley's Law'. There's loads of information on it, including the man convicted being linked to other crimes.

things like this make me so nervous to have a kid, i feel like i would be too over protective! when my 14 yo sister takes out the trash i stand at the door and watch to make sure she safe because when i was abt 12 i went to take out the trash when it was dark out and there was a man looming around our garden and it still freaks me out to this day what could have happened if I didn't see his shadow, scream and run.

Can you do one about Beverly Allit, she is an English serial killer who was caught guilty of murder to four children, attempting to murder three other children and causing serious harm to a further six.. The crimes were committed over a period of 59 days between February and April 1991 in the children's ward at Grantham and Kesteven Hospital, Lincolnshire, where Allit was employed a State Enrolled Nurse.. It sounds very interesting, and I know it isn't about a specific murder, but I would love to hear more about it, your videos are amazing and keep up the good work Eleanor!!

the mccanns anger me so much because they basically abandoned all of their children in a hotel room and nothing happened to them but recently a woman in london left her son, the same age as maddie, in their car on their driveway to check the door was locked but she had a dodgy hand breaker which resulted in her son rolling into a lake and dying. she’d literally just been to check the lock on the door and she got charged with neglect. it genuinely gets me so het up smh

Poor girl! It’s disgusting that this so called “mother” pretended her daughter was kidnapped in order to gain attention, money and fame! Ugh! Also amitriptyline, one of the drugs Shannon was given, is a nerve numbing anti-depressant that makes you so drowsy. I take it for a chronic pain I have. I can’t imagine how much this and the other drugs affected poor Shannon.

I think we as a society think mothers are way more kind and loving than they actually are. Like majority of kids are killed by their moms and a lot of kids suffer trauma from their mothers' abuse. Maybe it would be easier if we were to understand that not every mom has a close relationship to their kid no matter how she gave hearth to them. Like c'mon , so many kids have died just because we keep on thinking that mothers somehow can't be evil and vile creatures.
