The accessible kitchen has finally arrived. But something was missing! Take a look at the BTS of our huge kitchen renovation, we are having quite a lot of work done. I really wanted to document as much of the process as possible. (this video is NOT sponsored)
After suffering my spinal cord injury i have really had to adapt in life. So Im showing you my disability lifestyle to raise disability awareness. As a disabled woman and a woman in a wheelchair who is paralysed, I thought it would be interesting for you to see, and hopefully give you some inspiration and motivation so that you can live more independently. wether you are paraplegic or quadriplegic I hope that I can help you. The wheelsnoheels message is “so no one has to feel alone.”
I have lots of interesting disability videos, a lot of videos on how to cope with a disability and living life in a wheelchair, wether you are a girl boy woman or man. i have some paraplegic exercise videos, and advice. its important to keep your fitness levels up as much as possible as this can when physically and mentally with depression.

The rollercoaster of emotions when there is a delay or stock vanishes! You held it together so well especially when you both were so hungry. My friend felt she had to turn into a Karen as she felt being nice to them allowed them to take the ‘mick’ and waste time/cut corners so unfortunately for her she had to have a lot of the work redone. I love that Shaun was right on it checking off the product codes (Great Idea!). Luxury vinyl flooring is the best thrust me you will love it, it has a thicker top coat so it doesn’t scuff easily or warp over time and the dogs claws won’t bruise/scratch it👌🏻 Hang in there you’re so near the end just make sure to try and rest up as much as you can. You will all sleep for a week after it’s all done, and it will be amazing 🤗🤗

You will love the LVT flooring! Really easy upkeep and looks phenomenal. I put it in my previous place and now that I’m building an accessible place it will be throughout my main living area. As a new wheelchair user, your videos have helped me know that I can return to my life in time. I was injured in January due to transverse myelitis. Keep up the great work and hand in there, having done a remodel in my previous home the inconvenience and mess is well worth it in the end.

Hi gem , it will be worth it when it's all finished , i live in a prefab bungalow and my kitchen is very small I can't turn around in it in my wheelchair I have to go in forward and then reverse backwards in my wheelchair which is not easy the doors are standard wide and not wheelchair friendly my housing assc wants to put in a new none disabled friendly cupboards and work tops so I am going to email them and tell them not to do it as I am waiting for the council to sort out a O.T for me it's a crazy nightmare .😣

Can’t wait to see it Gem, we are currently looking into getting our kitchen redone with accessible features as it’s pretty much unusable for me currently…. Hopefully I can take some inspiration from you guys, also will you be taking the flooring into your living space? It’ll be so much “Smooooth” er lol for you ☺️

Mrs Gem, I was so excited watching this. My kitchen as it is at the moment is for an able bodied person and there is a lot of storage space but I cannot reach any of it. I have a small kitchen and the accessible one (if they sort out the parking) will have three pull out drawers, one tiny pull out cupboard/basket, two shelves and all round accessible worktop and sink.

Did/do you watch Keeping Up Appearances? There's an episode where they are expecting delivery of a living room suite where Hyacinth blocks off the street. Totally reminded me of it when you did it haha.

Missing sink. I’d be FURIOUS. Our new kitchen took months to complete. We had all sorts of problems & delays. Drove us mad.

I have a question but not about your Reno. The dome on your hot tub I need it, during summer if it rains I have to bail out the flat top sheet of mine. Even in the night. Do you have an idea of the make or where to get one. I have googled and it's proving difficult in finding anything similar. Thank you.

My jack russels hate the vacuum cleaner too. They bark at it if it comes in the same room as them even turned off.

Daisy is just such a little love ❤️ it's wonderful being a girl mum just watching them become little women. I feel like time is going so fast and they grown like weeds my esther has legs for days but is so slim so she needs long trousers and a small waist then my ava needs a bigger waist and shorter log 🤣 and I'm short and fat 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I do with I could have another and have a boy so I got to experience being a boy mum lol but husband would only let me have a dog 🤣🤣🤣

Poor Ashley. I know she takes a lot of abuse. My husband is a project manager for remodels and new home builds... things like this are back ordered even here in the US. You are either amazing people to work for or you cut out the diva parts🤪. Some people are pains in the @$$. As his wife I get to deal with the pain as well because the home owners will actually call all hours of the day and night. Know what he loves. His phone buzzing right in the middle of church🤦🏾. Ashley was probably quite relieved after hanging up with you

Hi Gem. I noticed in the bit where you were waving passports around that you waved two. Are you a dual national ? Forgive me if that’s too personal. BTW I really appreciate your channel as a woman who is adapting to using a wheelchair more due to cerebral palsy. I don’t need to use mine full time yet but you help me learn about how to live with wheels.

We are planning a remodel, but I never occurred to me to have it done so I could reach everything. I'm going to have to rethink this now. Can't wait to see your new kitchen and up and coming surprise!
