FYI, the San Diego Fair, that they stole video footage of, only costs $12-20... Also, I hope they get sued for breach of contract (or something similar) for overselling their VIP tickets and not being able follow through with the "guaranteed meet and greet" for many of the VIP ticket holders, especially when it's nonrefundable.

my local fair happens over a whole weekend (fri-sun) in september. its held in a church parking lot. entry is free. the only thing that costs money is the food, some mini games, some small businesses that attend and the auction. everything in the auction goes to the church and even if you aren't of that religion, everyone still participates and donates. teens volunteer to host the mini games or the face painting and other stuff, and it counts for their volunteer hours. naturally when teens work at a place like this, their other friends wanna visit and then their friends, etc. its *packed* every single day. if the ace fest had been free with minimal money spending, they would've had a much better turnout
