The whole concept of this movie fell apart for me instantly because when I saw it, I had literally just come back from a vow renewal in Vegas. I don’t think their wedding was even legally binding. It could've been but Vegas weddings are mostly a souvenir thing that couples do, and I'm pretty sure they aren't legally binding for this exact reason, so drunk idiots don't get married out of nowhere.

I’m convinced there’s almost no plot because they literally said to the actors/crew “want to go on a beach vacation?” And every one said sure, we’ll figure the movie part out later.

I have seen parodies like these before, where the gags are just random chaos that happens and the joke is that things happen that are weird- rather than that things which are exaggarations of the typical expectations happens and that says something about the common tropes of a story. Like... if Pedrosa was meant to be the "seemingly perfect love rival" that shows up to create tension maybe he could have been RIDICULOUSLY perfect. Like, make a GAG out of the fact that he's everybody's friend within minutes of meeting them. He shows up, fires off a dazzling smile and greets the new arrivals and the girl IMMEDIATELY confesses something heavy to get off her chest, and he just retorts that very second with empathic and helpful advice. The guy feels jealous and goes all bad boy macho heated, "keep your hands off my girl!" "Your desire to monopolize people stemming from your parents neglect will only drive them further away, to truly love is to trust they will be there for you no matter your insecurities" "FUCK I HATE THAT YOU'RE RIGHT." "I know." Pedrosa gives a soulful smile and puts a comforting hand on the bad boys shoulder whereupon the bad boy punches himself in the face and runs away while shouting how he hit his tear canal, that's why he's crying! Hell, maybe that's why the former villain who put out a hit on her is now cool and mellowed out. He DID come with the intention of sabotaging her life and get payback but just as he's about to shoot her Pedrosa rides by on a horse (we don't ask where the horse came from) with a tray of food he's going to serve to some orphans that just so happens to be the exact food the villains mom used to make when he was little, his one happy memory of his tragic past, and the experience makes him instantly realize how far he's fallen and makes him dedicated to help out the female lead. Pedrosa is completely unaware of this, he has to focus on playing football with the orphans. And when all is said and done the girl turns Pedrosa down despite his smile being as warm and shimmering as the local beaches and his abs as sculpted as the red mountains, telling him that she and male lead are both hot messes who vibe with each other in a way that he is just too stable to understand,...and he gently but firmly explains that he never, not even ONCE, expressed any actual attraction to her during the stay. He was just polite, kind and understanding. Thinking people only act kind to people they're romantically attracted to is kinda weird. But instead we have titty flashing for no real reason, "we have Goop at home" and dwarf wrestling. Sure. I guess that's weird and unexpected... not sure it's actually FUNNY though.
