I love my rebounder! Got it about 6 months ago. I typically get on it 10 minutes at a time 2 or 3 times a day while watching KZfaq videos or listening to a podcast. It makes me feel so good. My brain works better, I have more energy and better digestion. Makes my sinuses drain, too - I’ll get a runny nose after a few minutes! I love your workout and will probably try that, too. Thanks for the great tips!

Oddly enough, recently I've seen several rebounding videos pop up. I called my spinal surgeon's office today and asked if it was ok for me to start again. I received a resounding YES! as long as I'm not doing flips, etc! Said it would be great exercise. Out of excuses now. I'm going to start slowly- 5 minutes gentle bouncing. What an excellent video! I have been using my rebounder for a couple of months now and love the suggestions you provide. I opted out of the stability bar simply as a space saver but now think I may get one so that I can do the exercises you performed. I’m currently at 10 minutes daily and the goal is to increase my time weekly. The first week I used the rebounder I experienced ankle pain in just a few short seconds and now feel no pain at all. It’s been great for my arthritis! I cannot recommend it enough. Thanks! 💕

I bet your ankles are getting stronger now! Thank you so much for your kind comment. I think the more you do this, the more endurance you are going to build, just with any new exercise program. What a deal you found! Time to wipe off the dust and get to bouncing. Thank you for the compliment. Make sure and start off slow so your body gets used to the action before going full force. I bought a really cheap rebounder at first (not high quality at all!), and it hurt my back. It did not have enough flexibility. I didn't know that there is a difference. But, boy was I wrong. Also be super careful with weights on a cellerciser. The weight you use is going to be very magnified. So a one pound weight will be the equivalent of something much heavier when you use a cellerciser. You can injure yourself by using weights. So be very very careful when adding weights. The cellerciser itself is very weight bearing.

Hi Sandy, I ran into your video yesterday and found it was such an inspiration to continue bouncing. But the biggest thing I want to congratulate you on is the “dry brushing”. @@sandysteinbrook Thanks for your reply and advise, much appreciated Sandy! I decided on and purchased an Acon Fit rebounder after doing a bit of online research. I’m going into my third week of working out and so far no issues! Up until April I was a regular runner (2-3 times per week, 5 miles a run) and had no issues until a torn meniscus stooped me in my tracks! It’s been checked out, I’ve talked to the doc’s and they advised me that due to my relative lack of pain to not go the steroid shot or surgery route. My sister told me about her positive rebounder experiences and results following her recent mishap (thrown from a horse while riding!) so I decided to give it a try. I’m careful, real careful LOL, and for the most part I’m good! Decent calorie burn, nice pump in my cardio BPM, liking that it charges up my lymphatic system (who knew!), pretty cool for a thirty minute workout! There are many workouts on line geared for seniors and beginners so I’m sticking with those! Your tips are great, thanks again for responding Sandy!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hello! Thank you for subscribing. You can find all kinds of body brushes on Amazon. Here is one that I ordered. amzn.to/3QtbqNr As far as a rebounder, I purchased the Cellerciser, which has springs. cellercise.com/products/cellerciser®-bi-fold-rebounder-w-balance-bar Before that I had purchased a Leaps & Rebounds, which had bungee chords. Both of them are good rebounders. My feet did pronate on the bungee one, but I could wear shoes and remedy that. I know everyones budget is different buying exercise equipment and I want to be sensitive to that. I would suggest to buy the best quality you can afford. I bought a really cheap one first (like $50), because I didn't know better, and it hurt my back.

From what I have listened to on Dave Hall's channel, the inventor of the cellerciser rebounder, you can benefit. You would need to take it slow and not be vigorous as you're building strength. I do have a rebounder, but do not use very much because it hurt my back and knees. But it sounds like I need to start out slow and build up over time. I do have a rough loofa that I use in the shower. What is the different between dry brushing versus wet brushing?
@sandysteinbrook
@sandysteinbrook 11 ай бұрын
As far as the rebounder I suggest starting off for only 5 minutes at the most and let your body get used to the action. I do know that a really cheap rebounder will hurt your back and joints. I bought a super cheap one off Amazon at first (around $50), because I didn't know any better. It hurt my back instantly! Then as I did research I realized it had no flexibility when I would jump, which is very bad on the joints, so I returned it. I invested in a much better one. I am not sure what wet brushing is, actually. So I can't compare the two but, dry brushing stimulates the lymphatic system and also loosens dead skin cells. So it is good for the skin and cellulite also.

My husband had a hip and knee replacement. He uses my rebounder almost everyday….also plays pickleball now. You can start off just bounding don’t take your feet off the rebounder…..then work your way up to where Sandy is! Good luck. You have a new body embrace it and see your new hip as part of your body not a separate piece.💖💖💖

It is fun! I am on a Cellerciser. I bought it on Amazon. amzn.to/3ZtBhHQ But, I am also sensitive that everyone has different budgets and price ranges to buy within. The Cellerciser will last a lifetime, so I made a one time investment. But before this I had a Leaps and Rebounds trampoline that had bungee chords. It was nice as well. I just had to wear tennis shoes when using bungee chord ones because my feet pronate when jumping due to the difference in support.

But does it help you lose weight???
@sandysteinbrook
@sandysteinbrook 7 ай бұрын
I do intermittent fasting, which is how I lost my weight. Any exercise is going to help with weight loss, but it comes down to the food we eat for weight loss. I have read before that weight loss is 80% the food you eat, and 20% exercise. That we can never out exercise a bad diet. I hope that is helpful the way I wrote this response.
