As a USPS carrier (rural) this video makes me sick. First, this guy didn't curb his wheels or lock his truck. He's blocking a handicapped space. The way he treats the parcels is just unbelievable. Then as he leaves you can tell HE LEFT THE TRUCK RUNNING THE WHOLE TIME! For those of you who don't know, turning your truck off and setting the parking brake are drilled into our heads from day one. This guy is a clown and if he hasn't been, he should be shown the door, permanently! Unfortunately the public will see this and think he is what all carriers are like, which obviously isn't the case.

As a letter carrier, I disagree. Those parcels are fine. Tosses like that won’t damage the parcels. And if the contents inside are damaged from gentle tosses like that, then it’s ok whoever did the packaging. Plus, since we are all letter carriers here, we know that those parcels will get tossed hard and far later on. I do agree that he shouldn’t have blocked the handicap parking space and that he should have locked his LLV since it looks like his line of sight was to his LLV was obstructed.

Whether you sit in an office, fly a plane, deliver mail, there is a reasonable degree of professionalism you are expected to accomplish your tasks with. Something tells me this man is being vtaped because of past behavior and/or complaints. Whereas you wl sound like a cop that got busted slapping a pregnant woman on his body cam. He is being payed by U.S. taxpayers, us. The company again pays for the safe and timely delivery of that mail by the USPS. This isn't hard or complicated.
@puzzledsnowman35035 жыл бұрын
@@johnsandefur2724 Wrong, the usps does not get paid by taxes. It is completely funded by its product (postage), absolutely zero taxpayers dollars. And the safe delivery is dependent on packaging. If packaged properly not a single item would have been damaged by anything he did. Trust me I know, I ship thousands of glass items every month and I have only had 3 items returned damaged, in the last 4 years. 1 of those items were admittedly broken after the item was opened and getting removed from packaging from the purchaser. Bubble wrap and packing peanuts, and pieces of cardboard to fill empty gaps in boxes to maintain the integrity of the box itself will save your package. Package it right and you don't need to worry about what happens during transit... oh yeah and use tape actually meant for cardboard boxes, not all tape will remain stuck to it, pay a little extra for the proper tape, and stuff to package it properly and sleep easy.

I work as a carrier myself and it actually more work if we left you a notice instead of the parcel. I'll explain to you why: 1) when leaving a notice we first must have the parcel to write down the article number on the notice (package), date, time for pickup, address, name, type package, etc 2) we must have the package in hand to scan attempted, and write NL (notice left), date attempted on parcel and bring it back to post office. We may need to bring it back out again if customer request redelivery. If we just drop of the package we can just scan deliver and skip all the other steps which actually save us time which we don't have but some rather leave notice because they don't want to be held responsible or get harrass about lost package from customer or supervisor. I have customer who are home several occasion because I can see them from outside, but when I knock on the door and yell "post office, package delivery" and they still wouldn't answer, so I just left them a notice instead ... Haha

You might live in a neighborhood where multiple packages are reported stolen, which are usually nicer neighborhoods because they usually order expensive stuff. Or does a dog that poses a threat. I once lived in a neighborhood where a carrier was attacked by a dog and all mailboxes on the street had to go curbside and no packages were delivered because the dog owner wouldn't get rid of the dog and it was constantly getting off its chain so the carrier wasn't allowed to get out of the vehicle. It might not be laziness or anything that is your fault it might just be the circumstances in the area causing the non delivery.

So with the time you sit on your ass, video him, make smart-ass comments, and then upload the video to youtube, why don't you just TAKE YOUR DAMN BOXES TO THE POST OFFICE? That is on private commercial property, which if a business wants delivery to front desk instead of a mailbox, they have to agree to allow postal parking up front without the carrier having to back up (because they can't see behind them). If this agreement is not made the business does not get delivery to front desk. So his parking is actually allowed by the business he is at.

he probably got a cut and that means less money for more time on the street. this is not an excuse for bad behavior. just an insight. if a city carrier had to lose time by loading all those packages, we get paid for it. rurals dont. they can work 10 hours and not get paid for it.

they are a company, they have better things to do then take their packages to the post office, when they could give it to the mailman

I hope this man isn't married because his wife probably gets abused just like those boxes. He looks like someone you would see on the news when a worker goes postal.

Yes he does have that look .He certainly looks like someone who would go postal.

@@jimmypatterson3998/KissHope: IRL, workplace violence incidents involve clerks/mail handlers, stuck in an environment of never ending micromanagement. Carriers, unless they're assigned to case/process 2 routes, are expected to leave the station within 60-90 mins after beginning their tour.

I whip this box to the front I whip this box to the front! Seriously though, I would have asked why he threw my stuff when he brought the cart back in.

I'm confused. Do you think this is funny? Or do you see this as some sort of abuse?

This dude is not a real mailman, they don't hire new mailman anymore, just cheap labor. Notice the street clothes on mailman.

The guy is just a bad carrier. Tax money doesn't fund the USPS. The reason why they are hurting for money is the fact that Congress requires them to fund retirement for 75 years in advance. They are actually posting profits if they didn't have to fund retirement so far out in advance,

i think the USPS would save a lot of money if everything i ordered through them didn't travel and extra 1500-2500 miles. example....I live in MN i ordered a package from TX it went to NY then to NV then to CA then to WI and then finally arrived in MN. I have even had a package arrive in MN then leave the state again. this stuff happens to, not kidding, over 80% of the things i order. I don't know maybe they just like to screw with me. I use UPS when i can but I have had things "Lost" by them
